0 Psalm 138 A [Psalm] of David. 1 I will give you thanks with my whole heart: Before the gods will I sing praises to you. 2 I will worship toward your holy temple, And give thanks to your name for your lovingkindness and for your truth: For you have magnified your word above all your name. 3 In the day that I called you answered me, You did encourage me with strength in my soul. 4 All the kings of the earth shall give you thanks, O YHWH, For they have heard the words of your mouth. 5 Yea, they shall sing of the ways of YHWH; For great is the glory of YHWH. 6 For though YHWH is high, yet has he respect to the lowly; But the haughty he knows from afar. 7 Though I walk in the midst of trouble, you will revive me; You will stretch forth your hand against the anger of mine enemies, And your right hand will save me. 8 YHWH will perfect that which concerns me: Your lovingkindness, O YHWH, [endures] for ever; Forsake not the works of your own hands.
