4.3 the widows, being sober-minded regarding the faith of the Lord, interceding without ceasing for all, being far from all slander, evil-speaking, false witness, love of money, and every kind of evil; knowing that they are an altar of God, and that all things are inspected for blemishes, and that nothing escapes Him, neither of reasonings nor of thoughts nor any of the secret things of the heart.
5.1 Knowing therefore that God is not mocked, we ought to walk worthily of His commandment and glory. 5.2 Likewise deacons must be blameless in the presence of His righteousness, as deacons of God and Christ and not of men; not slanderers, not double-tongued, not lovers of money, temperate in all things, compassionate, diligent, walking according to the truth of the Lord, who became a deacon of all; whom if we please in this present age, we will receive also the age to come, just as He promised us to raise us from the dead, and that if we live our lives worthily of Him, we shall also reign with Him, if indeed we believe. 5.3 likewise also the younger men must be blameless in all things, being especially mindful of purity and bridling themselves from every evil. for it is good to be cut off from the desires that are in the world, because every desire wars against the Spirit and neither fornicators, nor the effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind shall inherit the kingdom of God, nor those who do what is improper. therefore it is necessary to abstain from all these things, being subject to the presbyters and deacons as to God and Christ; the virgins to walk in a blameless and pure conscience.
6.1 And the presbyters also must be compassionate, merciful to all, turning back those who have gone astray, visiting all the sick, not neglecting a widow or an orphan or a poor person; but providing always for that which is good in the sight of God and of men, abstaining from all anger, partiality, unjust judgment, being far from all love of money, not quick to believe anything against anyone, not abrupt in judgment, knowing that we are all debtors of sin. 6.2 if therefore, we ask the Lord to forgive us, we also ought to forgive; for we are before the eyes of the Lord and God, and we must all stand before the judgment seat of Christ, and each must give an account of himself. 6.3 let us therefore serve Him in this way with fear and all reverence, as He Himself commanded, and the apostles who evangelized us, and the prophets who proclaimed beforehand the coming of our Lord; being zealous for what is good, abstaining from offenses and from the false brethren and from those who bear the name of the Lord in hypocrisy, who lead empty men astray.
7.1 For everyone who does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is an antichrist; and whoever does not confess the testimony of the cross is of the devil; and whoever perverts the oracles of the Lord to his own desires and says that there is neither a resurrection nor a judgment, this one is the firstborn of Satan. 7.2 Therefore, leaving the vanity of the many and the false teachings, let us return to the word which was delivered to us from the beginning, being sober for prayers and constant in fastings, asking in our petitions the all-seeing God not to lead us into temptation, as the Lord said: The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.
8.1 Let us therefore persevere unceasingly in our hope and the pledge of our righteousness, who is Christ Jesus, who bore our sins in His own body on the tree, who committed no sin, nor was deceit found in His mouth; but for our sake, that we might live in Him, He endured all things. 8.2 let us therefore become imitators of the endurance <αὐτοῦ>, and if we suffer for His name's sake, let us glorify Him. for He set this example for us through Himself, and we have believed this.
9.1 I exhort you all, therefore, to be obedient to the word of righteousness and to practice all endurance, which you also saw before your eyes not only in the
