And Demas, having loved the present world, abandoned the word of the gospel, and in Thessalonica became a priest of idols. μεʹ. ∆ημᾶς, οὗ καὶ αὐτοῦ ὁμοίως ὁ ἀπόστολος Παῦλος μέμνηται ὡς ἀποστήσαντος· δηλοῖ γὰρ περὶ τῶν τριῶν ἐν τῇ πρὸς Τιμόθεον δευτέρᾳ αὐτοῦ ἐπιστολῇ, ὅτι ἑτεροδοξήσαντες Φύγελος καὶ Ἑρμογένης ἀντέστησαν τῇ διδασκαλίᾳ αὐτοῦ. Ὁ δὲ ∆ημᾶς ἀγαπήσας τὸν νῦν αἰῶνα κατέλιπε τὸν εὐαγγελικὸν λόγον, καὶ ἐν Θεσσαλονίκῃ ἱερεὺς τῶν εἰδώλων ἐγένετο. Περὶ τούτων καὶ Ἰωάννης ὁ ἀπόστολος ἔγραψεν· ἐξ ἡμῶν ἐξῆλθον, ἀλλ' οὐκ ἦσαν ἐξ ἡμῶν.

νγʹ. Ἰωσὴφ ὁ λεγόμενος καὶ Ἰοῦστος καὶ Βαρσαββᾶς, οὗ μέμνηται Λουκᾶς ἐν ταῖς πράξεσι τῶν ἀποστόλων ὡς συγκληρωθέντος τῷ Ματθίᾳ, ἐπίσκοπος Ἐλευθεροπόλεως γέγονε.

νηʹ. Κάρπος, οὗ καὶ αὐτοῦ ὁ Παῦλος μέμνηται, ἐπίσκοπος Βεῤῥοίας τῆς Θρᾴκης ἐγένετο. νθʹ. Εὔοδος, οὗ καὶ αὐτοῦ ὁ Παῦλος μέμνηται, πρῶτος ἐπίσκοπος Ἀντιοχείας μετὰ Πέτρον τὸν κορυφαῖον ἐγένετο.
