let us hold fast; nor appearing humble in countenance to men, let us appear proud in soul to the Master; and giving to the poor, let us not rob others; and flattering God with words, let us not slaughter our brothers by deed, always remembering the apostle who says: “Pursue peace with all men, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord.” But fasting from all evils along with foods, let us say to him: “But you have mercy on all, for you can do all things, and you overlook the sins of men for repentance”; for to you belongs all glory, to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit, now and ever and unto the ages of ages. Amen.
