Melitians of Egypt, being a schism, forty-ninth Arians also called Areiomanites; fiftieth 1.159 the schism of the Audians, fifty-first Photinians, fifty-second Marcellians, fifty-third Semi-Arians, fifty-fourth Pneumatomachi, also called Macedonians and disciples of Eleusius, who blaspheme the holy spirit of God, fifty-fifth Aerians, fifty-sixth Aetians, also called Anomoeans, with whom Eunomius is associated, or rather, the Lawless one; fifty-seventh Dimoerites, who do not confess the perfect incarnation of Christ, also called Apollinarians, fifty-eighth those who say that the holy Mary, the ever-virgin, after she had given birth to the savior, was united with Joseph, whom we have called Antidicomariamites, fifty-ninth those who offer a *kollyris* in the name of the same Mary, who are called Collyridians, sixtieth Massalians, with whom are associated Martyrians from the Greeks and Euphemites and Satanians. 5. Returning again and dividing these by book, I will show in this my recapitulation, how many of these eighty heresies are in the first book, and in order in the second to the third, but also in each of the seven tomes composed in the three books, how many are the heresies contained therein. And it is thus: in the first book three tomes, and forty-six heresies, along with their mother and original names, I mean Barbarism and Scythianism and Hellenism and Judaism and Samaritanism. And in the second book two tomes, twenty-three heresies. And in the third book two tomes, eleven heresies. Therefore in the first book, first tome, twenty heresies, which are these: Barbarism, Scythianism, Hellenism, Judaism. Differences of the Greeks: Pythagoreans or rather Peripatetics, Platonists, Stoics, Epicureans. The Samaritan heresy, which is from Judaism; four sects of Samaritans thus: Gorothenes, Sebuaeans, Essenes, Dositheans. Seven heresies of the Jews thus: Scribes, Pharisees, Sadducees, Hemerobaptists, Ossaeans, Nasaraeans 1.160 Herodians. And in the second tome of the first book likewise thirteen heresies thus: Simonians, Menandrians, Satornilians, Basilidians, Nicolaitans Gnostics, also called Stratiotici and Phibionites, the same by some called Secundians, by others Socratites, by others Zacchæans and Coddians and Borborites and Barbelites, Carpocratians, Cerinthians, also called Merinthians, Nazoraeans, Ebionites, Valentinians, Secundians, with whom are associated Epiphanes and Isidore, Ptolemaeans. And in the third tome of the same first book thirteen heresies thus: Marcosians, Colorbasians, Heracleonites, Ophites, Cainites, Sethians, Archontics, Cerdonians, Marcionites, Lucianists, Apellians, Severians, Tatianists. This is the recapitulation of the first book of the three tomes. And of the second book, two tomes. And in the first tome of the second book, being the fourth according to the sequence of the number from the beginning, eighteen heresies thus: Encratites according to the Phrygians, also called Montanists and Tascodrugites; but the Tascodrugites were divided from the aforementioned, Pepuzians also called Priscillianists and Quintillians, with whom are associated the Artotyrites, Tessareskaidekatites who keep the Pascha on one day of the year, Alogi who do not accept the Gospel of John and the Apocalypse, Adamites, Sampsaeans, also called Elkesaites, Theodotians, Melchizedekians, Bardesianists, Noetians, Valesians, Cathars, Angelics, Apostolics, also called Apotactics, with whom are associated those called Saccophori, Sabellians, Origenians the shameful, Origenians of Adamantius.
