those being led into reverence are signified by fearing the name of God, but those fearing him and no longer his name, by the designation of saints; for fear the Lord, you his saints, for there is no want to those who fear him. <καὶ εἰκὸς> as a kind of these saints you will find the prophets; for a saint is more than a prophet; for it is necessary for the prophet of God to also be a saint, but the reverse is not true; many who are saints do not prophesy. 38 See whether the dragon, having warred with the angels and been afflicted, having been cast down from heaven, dragged as he fell the third of the stars, which stars, being divine powers, <εἰκὸς> fell away with him and were brought down together with the dragon; as Isaiah says: How has the morning star fallen from heaven?
εἰσαγόμενοι εἰς εὐλάβειαν σημαίνονται τῷ φοβεῖσθαι τὸ ὄνομα τοῦ θεοῦ, οἱ δὲ αὐτὸν καὶ μὴ τὸ ὄνομα αὐτοῦ ἔτι φοβούμενοι τῇ τῶν ἁγίων προσηγορίᾳ· φοβήθητε γὰρ τὸν Κύριον οἱ ἅγιοι αὐτοῦ, ὅτι οὐκ ἔτιν ὑτέρημα τοῖ φοβουμένοι αὐτόν. <καὶ εἰκὸς> ὡς ἐν εἴδει τούτων τῶν ἁγίων εὑρήσεις τοὺς προφήτας· ἐπὶ πλεῖον γὰρ προφήτου ὁ ἅγιος· ἀνάγκη γὰρ τὸν θεοῦ προφήτην καὶ ἅγιον εἶναι, ἀλλ' οὐκ ἀντιστρέφει· πολλοὶ ἅγιοι ὄντες οὐ προφητεύουσιν. 38 Ὅρα μὴ ὁ δράκων πολεμήσας μετὰ τῶν ἀγγέλων καὶ θλιβείς, βληθεὶς κάτω ἐκ τοῦ οὐρανοῦ ἔσυρεν πίπτων τὸ τρίτον τῶν ἀστέρων, ἅτινα ἄστρα θείας δυνάμεις οὔσας <εἰκὸς> συναπεστατηκέναι αὐτῷ καὶ συγκατενεχθῆναι τῷ δράκοντι· ὡς Ἠσαΐας φησίν πῶ ἐξέπεεν ὁ ἑωφόρο ἐξ οὐρανοῦ;
