of the Churches. The earth did not hide you, but heaven received you; the gates of paradise were opened to you. A worthy sight for the host of angels, worthy for patriarchs, prophets, the righteous, men in the very flower of their youth, having despised life, having loved the Lord more than parents, more than children. While in the very 31.525 prime of life, they looked down upon temporary life, so that they might glorify God in their own members; having become a spectacle to the world, both to angels and to men, they raised up the fallen, they strengthened the doubtful, they doubled the desire of the pious. All having raised up one trophy for piety. with one and the same crown of righteousness they were adorned, in Christ Jesus our Lord, to whom be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen.

Ἐκκλησιῶν. Ὑμᾶς οὐχ ἡ γῆ κατέκρυψεν, ἀλλ' οὐρανὸς ὑπεδέξατο· ἠνοίγησαν ὑμῖν παραδείσου πύλαι. Ἄξιον θέαμα τῇ στρατιᾷ τῶν ἀγγέλων, ἄξιον πατριάρχαις, προφήταις, δι καίοις, ἄνδρες ἐν αὐτῷ τῷ ἄνθει τῆς νεότητος, τοῦ βίου καταφρονήσαντες, ὑπὲρ γονεῖς, ὑπὲρ τέκνα τὸν Κύριον ἀγαπήσαντες. Αὐτὸ τῆς ἡλικίας ἄγοντες τὸ 31.525 βιώσιμον, ὑπερεῖδον τῆς προσκαίρου ζωῆς, ἵνα δοξά σωσι τὸν Θεὸν ἐν τοῖς μέλεσιν ἑαυτῶν· θέατρον γε νόμενοι τῷ κόσμῳ, καὶ ἀγγέλοις, καὶ ἀνθρώποις, τοὺς πεπτωκότας ἤγειραν, τοὺς ἀμφιβόλους ἐβεβαιώ σαντο, τοῖς εὐσεβέσι τὴν ἐπιθυμίαν ἐδιπλασίασαν. Ἒν ὑπὲρ τῆς εὐσεβείας ἅπαντες ἀναστήσαντες τρόπαιον. ἑνὶ καὶ τῷ στεφάνῳ τῆς δικαιοσύνης κατεκο σμήθησαν, ἐν Χριστῷ Ἰησοῦ τῷ Κυρίῳ ἡμῶν, ᾧ ἡ δόξα καὶ τὸ κράτος εἰς τοὺς αἰῶνας τῶν αἰώνων. Ἀμήν.
