we receive remission of sins; she gave birth to him whom the angels, coming at the birth, glorified with fear, saying, "Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will among men." Hail, therefore, the mother and heaven; the maiden and cloud; the virgin and throne; the boast and firmament of our church; make earnest supplication for us so that we may receive mercy through you on the day of judgment, and may obtain the good things laid up for those who love God, by the grace and loving-kindness of our Lord Jesus Christ, with whom to the Father, together with the Holy Spirit, be glory, might, honor, now and ever and unto the ages of ages. Amen.

τῶν ἁμαρτημάτων ἄφεσιν λαμβάνομεν· αὕτη τοῦτον ἐγέννησεν ὃν οἱ ἄγγελοι ἐπὶ τοῦ τόκου ἐλθόντες μετὰ φόβου ἐδοξολόγουν, λέγοντες "∆όξα ἐν ὑψίστοις θεῷ καὶ ἐπὶ γῆς εἰρήνη ἐν ἀνθρώποις εὐδοκία". Χαῖρε τοίνυν ἡ μήτηρ καὶ οὐρανός· ἡ κόρη καὶ νεφέλη· ἡ παρθένος καὶ θρόνος· τὸ τῆς ἡμετέρας ἐκκλησίας καύχημα καὶ στερέωμα· ἐκτενῆ τὴν ὑπὲρ ἡμῶν δέησιν ποίησον ὅπως λάβωμεν διὰ σοῦ ἔλεος ἐν ἡμέρᾳ τῆς κρίσεως, καὶ τῶν ἀποκειμένων ἀγαθῶν τοῖς ἀγαπῶσι τὸν θεὸν ἐπιτύχωμεν, χάριτι καὶ φιλανθρωπίᾳ τοῦ Κυρίου ἡμῶν Ἰησοῦ Χριστοῦ, μεθ' οὗ τῷ Πατρὶ ἅμα τῷ ἁγίῳ πνεύματι δόξα, κράτος, τιμή, νῦν καὶ ἀεὶ καὶ εἰς τοὺς αἰῶνας τῶν αἰώνων.
