Holy Spirit, he does not have knowledge of the creator, he has not received life, Jesus Christ; if he does not know the Father who is in heaven, if he does not live according to the word, according to the heavenly law; he is not temperate, he does not act justly; such a one is empty. But if he has received the God who said: “I will dwell in them, and walk among them, and I will be their God,” this one is not empty, but full. “Three times in the year all your males shall appear before the Lord your God.” I might explain what is said. What we do, is either female, or male. If therefore what we do is female, it is either bodily, or carnal. For by sowing to the flesh, we make the offspring of the soul female, not male; but enervated, and soft and material. If, however, by looking to eternal things, and having our mind on better things, we bear the fruits of the spirit, then all our offspring are male. Therefore, the things brought before 12.297 God, the things that will be seen by the sight of the creator, are male, not female. For God does not deign to look upon the female and the bodily things.
