Whatever then you wish, ask about the tower, and I will reveal it to you, that you may rejoice with the saints. I say to her: Lady, since you have once deemed me worthy to have everything revealed to me, reveal it. And she says to me: Whatever it is possible to be revealed to you, will be revealed. Only let your heart be toward God, and do not doubt what you may see. I asked her: Why is the tower built upon the waters, lady? I told you, she says, before, and you seek diligently; seeking then, you find the truth. Why then the tower is built upon waters, listen: because your life was saved and will be saved through water. And the tower is founded by the word of the almighty and glorious name, and is held up by the unseen power of the Master. Answering I say to her: Lady, this matter is great and wonderful. And the six young men who are building, who are they, lady? These are the holy angels of God who were first created, to whom the Lord delivered all his creation, to increase and to build and to rule all creation. Through these, then, the building of the tower will be completed. And the others who are bringing the stones, who are they? They also are holy angels of God; but these six are superior to them. Therefore the building of the tower will be completed, and all together will rejoice around the tower and will glorify God, because the building of the tower was completed. I asked her, saying: Lady, I wished to know the origin of the stones and their power, of what sort it is. Answering she says to me: Not that you are more worthy than all that it should be revealed to you; for there are others before you and better than you, to whom these visions ought to have been revealed; but that the name of God may be glorified, it was revealed and will be revealed to you on account of the double-minded, those who reason in their hearts whether these things are so or not. Tell them that all these things are true, and there is nothing outside of the truth, but all things are strong and sure and well-founded. Hear now about the stones that are going into the building. The stones, then, that are square and white and that fit their joints, these are the apostles and bishops and teachers and deacons who walked according to the holiness of God and served as bishops and taught and ministered purely and holily to the elect of God, some of whom have fallen asleep, and some are still living; and they were always in agreement with one another and had peace among themselves and listened to one another; for this reason in the building of the tower their joints fit together. And those being dragged from the deep and being placed into the building and fitting in their joints with the other stones already built, who are they? These are they who have suffered for the sake of the name of the Lord. The other stones being brought from the dry land, I wish to know who they are, lady. She said: Those going into the building and not being quarried, these the Lord has approved, because they walked in the uprightness of the Lord and kept his commandments. And those being brought and placed into the building, who are they? They are young in the faith and faithful. And they are admonished by the angels to do good, because no wickedness was found in them. And those whom they cast away and were throwing, who are they? These are they who have sinned and wish to repent; for this reason they were not thrown far outside the tower, because they will be useful for the building, if they repent. those therefore who are about to repent, if they repent
