making restlessness in their souls; there the spirit of meekness does not rest. But being persuaded by the exhortation of the blessed Paul, let us put away from ourselves all anger and wrath and clamor with all malice, and let us be kind and compassionate to one another, awaiting the blessed hope promised to the meek (For blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth), in Christ Jesus our Lord, to whom be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.

ἀσιγήτους ταῖς ψυχαῖς ἐμποιοῦντα· ἐκεῖ τὸ πνεῦμα τῆς πραΰτητος οὐκ ἀναπαύεται. Πεισθέντες δὲ τῇ παραινέσει τοῦ μακαρίου Παύλου, πᾶσαν ὀργὴν καὶ θυμὸν καὶ κραυγὴν ἄρωμεν ἀφ' ἡμῶν σὺν πάσῃ κακίᾳ, καὶ γενώμεθα εἰς ἀλλήλους χρηστοὶ καὶ εὔσπλαγχνοι, ἀναμένοντες τὴν μακαρίαν ἐλπίδα τὴν τοῖς πραέσιν ἐπηγγελμένην (Μακάριοι γὰρ οἱ πραεῖς, ὅτι αὐτοὶ κληρονομήσουσι τὴν γῆν), ἐν Χριστῷ Ἰησοῦ τῷ Κυρίῳ ἡμῶν, ᾧ ἡ δόξα καὶ τὸ κράτος εἰς τοὺς αἰῶνας.
