Be purified, be circumcised, remove the veil from birth. After this teach in the temple, drive out the sellers of God; be stoned, if you must suffer this; you will escape the notice of those who throw, I know well, you will flee and pass through their midst, as God. For the Word is not stoned. If you are brought before Herod, do not answer for the most part. He will respect even your silence more than the long speeches of others. If you are scourged, seek also the things that remain. Taste gall, for the sake of the taste; be given vinegar to drink, seek out spitting, receive blows, buffetings; be crowned with thorns, for the harshness of the life according to God; put on the scarlet robe, receive a reed, be worshipped by those who mock the truth; finally, be crucified with, be put 36.333 to death with, be buried with willingly, so that you may also be raised with, and be glorified with, and reign with, seeing God as much as is possible, and being seen, the one worshipped and glorified in the Trinity, whom we pray may now be made clear to us, as much as is attainable for those bound in the flesh, in Christ Jesus our Lord, to whom be glory forever. Ἁγνίσθητι, περιτμήθητι, περιελοῦ τὸ ἀπὸ γενέσεως κάλυμμα. Μετὰ τοῦτο δίδαξον ἐν τῷ ἱερῷ, τοὺς θεοκαπήλους ἀπέλασον· λιθάσθητι, ἂν τοῦτο δέῃ παθεῖν· λήσῃ τοὺς βάλλοντας, εὖ οἶδα, φεύξῃ καὶ διὰ μέσου αὐτῶν, ὡς Θεός. Ὁ Λόγος γὰρ οὐ λιθάζεται. Ἂν Ἡρώδῃ προσαχθῇς, μηδὲ ἀποκριθῇς τὰ πλείω. Αἰδεσθήσεταί σου καὶ τὴν σιωπὴν πλέον ἢ ἄλλων τοὺς μακροὺς λόγους. Ἂν φραγελλωθῇς, καὶ τὰ λειπόμενα ζήτησον. Γεῦσαι χολῆς, διὰ τὴν γεῦσιν· ὄξος ποτίσθητι, ζήτησον ἐμπτύσματα, δέξαι ῥαπίσματα, κολαφίσματα· ἀκάνθαις στεφανώθητι, τῷ τραχεῖ τοῦ κατὰ Θεὸν βίου· περιβαλοῦ τὸ κόκκινον, δέξαι κάλαμον, προσκυνήθητι παρὰ τῶν παιζόντων τὴν ἀλήθειαν· τέλος συσταυρώθητι, συν 36.333 νεκρώθητι, συντάφηθι προθύμως, ἵνα καὶ συναναστῇς, καὶ συνδοξασθῇς, καὶ συμβασιλεύσῃς, Θεὸν ὁρῶν ὅσον ἐστὶ, καὶ ὁρώμενος, τὸν ἐν Τριάδι προσκυνούμενόν τε καὶ δοξαζόμενον, ὃν καὶ νῦν τρανοῦσθαι ἡμῖν εὐχόμεθα, ὅσον ἐφικτὸν τοῖς δεσμίοις τῆς σαρκὸς, ἐν Χριστῷ Ἰησοῦ τῷ Κυρίῳ ἡμῶν, ᾧ ἡ δόξα εἰς τοὺς αἰῶνας.
