Hebr 12,12-13 Where are those who say that the apostle in this epistle does away with repentance by saying: for it is impossible for those who were enlightened, and so forth, to be renewed again to repentance? How then do they understand these things? How does he command the hands that hang down and the paralyzed knees to be lifted up? What sort of healing 211 of the lame does one who does not accept the repentance of sinners wish to occur? For that he writes these things to the faithful is clear from what he says to them: But recall the former days in which, after you were enlightened, you endured a great conflict of sufferings. Hebr 12,17 He does not wish to do away with repentance through these things, but to teach that it is not possible for those who have <μὴ> shown the fitting correction at the right time to recover it later, when the time of retribution is about to be appropriately brought upon each one’s way of life; for he has not been zealous to say things contrary to himself, and these things so closely. And one might know what he says from the example. For first he mentioned Esau, who was disheartened then when he did not receive the blessing, but who remained in the wickedness of his way of life likewise also after this. Then, it was not that having repented he did not receive forgiveness of sins; for he was not asking for this at that time, but a blessing which, having been given to his brother according to the worthiness of his way of life, was by no means able to be taken away again and given to this one once more. However, it is also possible to find this, that his tears were not altogether unprofitable for him. Indeed, the father appears after this to have had compassion on him, and to have given him some blessings. Thus he does not wish to do away with repentance through these things. Hebr 12,26 He well establishes from the voice of the prophet both the change of present things and the stability of future things; for to have promised to shake declares their removal as certainly about to happen, but by the addition of 'once' he declares the unchangeable nature of the things after this.
Hebr. 13,7 The leaders among them who proclaimed the word of
godliness and were perfected by the Jews there. And there were many, not only Stephen and James who was killed with the sword, but also James the brother of the Lord, and very many others committed to silence. Hebr 13,16 He said "good works" in praise of what was done, but "fellowship" because it concerns fellow believers, as it would be necessary to consider 212 such people as partakers of what we have, thus choosing to provide for their needs with zeal. Hebr 13,22 Instead of "persevere in the reading," "bear the labor of paying attention."

Hebr 12,17 Οὐ τὴν μετάνοιαν ἀνελεῖν διὰ τούτων βούλεται, ἀλλὰ διδάξαι ὡς οὐκ ἔνεστιν ἐν καιρῷ τὴν προσήκουσαν διόρθωσιν <μὴ> ἐπιδειξαμένους ὕστερον αὐτὴν ἀνακτᾶσθαι, ὅταν ὁ τῆς ἀνταποδόσεως καιρὸς καταλλήλως ἐπάγεσθαι τῷ ἑκάστου τρόπῳ μέλλῃ· οὐ γὰρ ἐναντία λέγειν ἐσπούδακεν ἑαυτῷ, καὶ ταῦτα οὕτως ἐκ τοῦ σύνεγγυς. γνοίη δ' ἄν τις ἐκ τοῦ παραδείγματος ὅ φησιν. πρῶτον μὲν γὰρ ἐμνημόνευσε τοῦ Ἠσαῦ, τότε μὲν ἀθυμήσαντος ὅτε τῆς εὐλογίας οὐκ ἔτυχεν, μείναντος δὲ ἐπὶ τῆς τοῦ τρόπου κακίας ὁμοίως καὶ μετὰ τοῦτο. ἔπειτα οὐχὶ συγχωρήσεως ἁμαρτημάτων μετανοήσας οὐκ ἔτυχεν ἐκεῖνος· οὐ γὰρ τοῦτο ᾔτει τότε, ἀλλ' εὐλογίαν ἣν κατὰ τὴν ἀξίαν τοῦ τρόπου τῷ ἀδελφῷ δοθεῖσαν ἀφαιρεθῆναι αὖθις οὐδαμῶς οἷόν τε ἦν καὶ δοθῆναι τούτῳ πάλιν. ἔστι μέντοι καὶ τοῦτο εὑρεῖν, ὡς οὐκ ἀνόνητα αὐτῷ πάντη τὰ δάκρυα ἐγένετο. ἀμέλει φαίνεται ὁ πατὴρ μετὰ τοῦτο παθὼν ἐπ' αὐτῷ, καί τινας εὐλογίας αὐτῷ δεδωκώς. οὕτως οὐ τὴν μετάνοιαν ἀνελεῖν διὰ τούτων βούλεται. Hebr 12,26 Καλῶς ἀπὸ τῆς τοῦ προφήτου φωνῆς τῶν τε νῦν τὴν μεταβολὴν καὶ τῶν ὑστέρων τὸ βέβαιον συνίστησιν· τὸ μὲν γὰρ σείειν ἐπαγγείλασθαι τὴν μετάθεσιν αὐτῶν δηλοῖ πάντως ὡς ἐσομένην, τῇ δὲ τοῦ ἅπαξ προσθήκῃ τῶν μετὰ τοῦτο δηλοῖ τὸ ἀμετάθετον.
