Μετὰ δὲ Ἀντωνῖνον ἐβασίλευσεν Ἀλέξανδρος ὁ Μαμαίας ἔτη ιγʹ, καὶ ἐσφάγη σὺν τῇ μητρὶ αὐτοῦ Μαμαίᾳ ἐξ ἐπιβουλῆς Μαξιμίνου στρατηγοῦ. ἐφ' οὗ Νάρκισσος ἐπίσκοπος Ἱεροσολύμων ἐν τῷ βαπτίζειν, ἐλαίου τοῦ χρίσματος λείψαντος, ἐκέλευσεν ὕδωρ ἐν τῷ κρατῆρι βληθῆναι, καὶ προσευξάμενος εἰς ἔλαιον τοῦτο μετέβαλε.
