Τῷ αυπηʹ ἔτει Ἐνὼχ μετετέθη ἐν τῷ παραδείσῳ, καθὼς καὶ ἡ θεία φάσκει γραφή, ὅτι «ἐγένοντο πᾶσαι αἱ ἡμέραι Ἐνὼχ ἔτη τξεʹ, καὶ εὐηρέστη σεν Ἐνὼχ τῷ θεῷ καὶ οὐχ ηὑρίσκετο, ὅτι μετέθηκεν αὐτὸν ὁ θεός.» Τῷ αφλεʹ ἔτει Καϊνᾶν ἀπέθανεν. Τῷ αχλʹ ἔτει Λάμεχ ἔλαβε γυναῖκα. Τῷ αχμβʹ ἔτει Νῶε ἐγεννήθη τῷ Λάμεχ. Τῷ αχ ζʹ ἔτει Μαλελεὴλ ἀπέθανεν. Τῷ α Ϡκεʹ ἔτει Ἰάρεδ ἀπέθανεν. Τῷ βρκαʹ ἔτει τοῦ κόσμου ἐγρηγόρων ἀπόφασις. Τῷ βρκθʹ ἔτει Νῶε ἔλαβε γυναῖκα. Τῷ βρμʹ ἔτει ἐντολὴ τοῦ θεοῦ πρὸς Νῶε περὶ κατασκευῆς τῆς κιβωτοῦ. Τῷ βρμαʹ ἔτει τοῦ κόσμου Νῶε ἦν ἐτῶν φʹ. καὶ ἐγέννησε τρεῖς υἱούς. τῷ αὐτῷ ἔτει Σὴμ ἐγεννήθη τῷ Νῶε. Τῷ βρμδʹ ἔτει Χὰμ ἐγεννήθη. Τῷ βρμζʹ ἔτει Ἰάφεθ ἐγεννήθη. εἶτά φησιν ἡ γραφή· «καὶ εἶπε κύριος ὁ θεός· οὐ μὴ καταμείνῃ τὸ πνεῦμά μου ἐν τοῖς ἀνθρώποις τούτοις εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα διὰ τὸ εἶναι αὐτοὺς σάρκας. ἔσονται δὲ αἱ ἡμέραι αὐτῶν ρκʹ ἔτη.» Ἀφρικανοῦ Ἔγνω πᾶν ὁ θεὸς ἀφανίσαι ζῴων γένος ἐν κατακλυσμῷ, ἀπειλήσας ρκʹ ἔτη οὐχ ὑπερβήσεσθαι τοὺς ἀνθρώπους. μηδὲ νομιζέσθω ζήτημα διὰ τὸ πλείονα χρόνον τινὰς ὕστερον βιῶναι· τὸ γὰρ διάστημα τοῦ χρόνου γέγονεν 22 ἑκατὸν ἔτη μέχρι τοῦ κατακλυσμοῦ κατὰ τῶν ἁμαρτωλῶν τῶν τότε· ἦσαν γὰρ εἰκοσαετεῖς. τῷ Νῶε διὰ δικαιοσύνην εὐαρεστήσαντι κιβωτὸν ὑπέθετο κατασκευάσαι θεός· καὶ γενομένης εἰσῆλθον εἰς αὐτὴν αὐτός τε Νῶε καὶ οἱ υἱοί, ἡ γυνὴ καὶ αἱ νύμφαι, καὶ ἀπὸ παντὸς ζῴου ἀπαρχὴ εἰς διαμονὴν τοῦ γένους. ἦν δὲ ἐτῶν ἑξακοσίων ὁ Νῶε, ὅτε ὁ κατακλυσμὸς ἐγένετο.
