not to confess that the particular and special things concerning those who once possessed them 9.270 are to be renewed and revived, but on the contrary to invalidate and contend against it and to consider the promise of the one who established and adorned all this that is seen, as he wished, a myth, not an account. But we at least have believed in the resurrection, ascribing glory to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit, now and always and unto the ages of ages, amen.

τὰ δὲ ἴδια καὶ ἐξαίρετα περὶ αὐτῶν τῶν ποτε κεκτημένων 9.270 ἀνανεοῦσθαι καὶ ἀναβιώσκεσθαι μὴ συνομολογεῖν, ἀλλὰ τοὐναντίον ἀκυροῦν καὶ διαμάχεσθαι καὶ μῦθον οὐ λόγον τὴν ἐπαγγελίαν νομίζειν τοῦ πᾶν τόδε τὸ ὁρώμενον συστησα-μένου καὶ κοσμήσαντος, ὡς ἠθέλησεν. ἀλλ' ἡμεῖς γε πεπιστεύ-καμεν τῇ ἀναστάσει δόξαν ἀναπέμποντες τῷ πατρὶ καὶ τῷ υἱῷ καὶ τῷ ἁγίῳ πνεύματι νῦν καὶ ἀεὶ καὶ εἰς τοὺς αἰῶνας τῶν αἰώνων, ἀμήν.
