Aquila and Symmachus, having come, finished the book, as indeed following the Hebrew; but Theodotion finishes it with the Seventy, having nothing lacking, neither time, nor life. And it is written again that he will be raised up, with those whom the Lord raises up, that is, the just; for the impious, he says, will not rise in judgment, nor sinners in the council of the just. And these words we accept, even if they are not of the whole style, yet as if one of the saints had woven them into the book; nevertheless we accept all, having thus received the book from the fathers. 18.
