O first-called, glory of the apostles, the all-greatest light-bearer of the fathers, guard your people with their shepherd.

To those who with all desire have erected your house, grant the gift of intercession, father.

Those who out of desire for you have built the church, O martyr, guard them, free from harm.

90 To the Tetrakamaron

A wondrous work you have appeared, very beautiful; and as to one with a soul I have addressed you, O church; for you bear within a vision of icons, an ineffable sight of the heavenly spectacles. Receive Him, O glory of the apostles, all-blessed Evangelist, Theologian; and to those who with desire have raised this for you, grant grace and remission of their failings.

91 To the church of the holy Theotokos at the Triton

You who are near to all for swift assistance, guide the voyage of those whom you fervently hold, who resort to your prayers, O Virgin.

92 On a painted cloth

Awesome is the wonder, to see Christ in a picture, who did all things for the salvation of mortals; for in our state he appeared strangely, having come without flesh and as a mortal treading on high. And for the sake of remembrance, the truly renowned Symeon offers this gift to the Master.

88 Εἰς τὸν ναὸν τοῦ Χρυσοστόμου Τοῖς τὸν σὸν οἶκον παμπόθως ἐγερκόσιν πρεσβευτικὴν πρόσνειμε δωρεάν,

89 Εἰς τὸν ναὸν τῆς πανευφήμου <Εὐφνμίας> Τοὺς ἐκ πόθου σου τὸν ναὸν δειμαμένους, μάρτυς, φύλαττε πημονῆς

90 Εἰς τὸ Τετρακάμαρον Θαυμαστὸν ὤφθης ἔργον, ὡραῖον πάνυ· ὡς ἐμψύχῳ δὲ προσλέλεγμαί σοι,

νεώς· φέρεις γὰρ ἔνδον εἰκόνων θεωρίαν, ἄρρητον ὄψιν τῶν ἄνω θεαμάτων. Αὐτὸν δέχοιο, τῶν ἀποστόλων κλέος, Εὐαγγελιστὰ παμμάκαρ, Θεολόγε· καὶ τοῖς πόθῳ σοι τοῦτον ἐξηγερκόσιν χάριν παράσχου καὶ λύσιν τῶν πταισμάτων.

91 Εἰς τὸν ναὸν τῆς ἁγίας Θεοτόκου εἰς τὸν Τρίτωνα

Ἡ πᾶσιν ἐγγὺς εἰς βοήθειαν τάχους, τὸν πλοῦν διευθέτησον, ὧν θερμῶς

ἔχεις, προσκειμένων σοι ταῖς λιταῖς σου, Παρθένε.

92 Εἰς ῥάκκος ἱστορισμένον Φρικτὸν τὸ θαῦμα, Χριστὸν ἐν γραφῇ βλέπειν, δράσαντα πάντα πρὸς βροτῶν

σωτηρίαν· ἐν τοῖς καθ' ἡμᾶς αὐτὸς ὤφθη γὰρ ξένως, ἄσαρκος ἐλθὼν καὶ βροτὸς βαίνων ἄνω. Μνήμης χάριν δὲ προσφέρει δῶρον τόδε ὁ κλεινὸς ὄντως Συμεὼν τῷ ∆εσπότῃ.

93 Εἰς τὴν εἰκόνα τοῦ Χριστοῦ

Ὁ Χριστός εἰμι, τῇ γραφῇ δεδειγμένος· καὶ τὸν πεποιθῶς εἰκονουργήσαντά

με, ὡς αἵρεσιν μισοῦντα τῶν ἐναντίων, Λέοντα Πατρίκιον, ἐν πᾶσι σκέπω.

94 Εἰς ἔγκλειστον Ἔγκλειστός ἐστιν, ὃς παθῶν ἔξω μένων ὅλην καθεῖρξε πρὸς Θεὸν τὴν

καρδίαν· κλείων λογισμούς, τοὺς γυρευτὰς τῆς πλάνης, νοῦν αὖτε πέμπων ταῖς ἄνω θεωρίαις, ἔχων προσευχὴν καυστικὴν τῶν δαιμόνων, φέρων σιωπὴν μυσταγωγοῦσαν βάθη, ψυχὴν ἄθλιπτον ἐν χαρᾷ τῶν ἐλπίδων, ἔργον τε χειρῶν καὶ
