And when the emperor Justin died, he left as emperor Justinian his nephew. After Justin, Justinian his nephew reigned for 39 years, who made the Novellae Constitutiones. He also restored the great church of God to a beauty and size beyond what it was before, and handed down a troparion to be chanted in it, "O only-begotten Son and Word of God." And the Hypapante began to be celebrated, not having been numbered before among the Lord's feasts. And the fifth synod of the 165 holy fathers also took place against Origen and those who succeeded to his impious doctrines, Didymus and Evagrius, and the things set forth by them
