of the bride was not natural, but of choice (for she did not listen to God, but transgressed), for this reason he leads her with another medicine. You became uncomely, therefore, not from nature, but from choice; and you became comely from obedience. Hear, O daughter, and see, and forget your people, and your father's house, and the king will desire your beauty. Then, that you may learn that he says nothing perceptible, when hearing "beauty," do not think of the eye, nor the nose, nor the mouth, nor the neck, but reverence, faith, love, the things within; For all the glory of the king's daughter is within. And for all these things let us give thanks to God, the giver, because to him alone belongs glory, honor, and power unto the ages of ages. Amen.
