(τὸ αὐτὸ ποιεῖ καὶ ὅτε προσυπαντᾶται παρὰ τοῦ πραιποσίτου τοῦ πατριάρχου. ὁμοίως τὸ αὐτὸ ποιεῖ καὶ ὁ πριμικήριος τοῦ κουβουκλείου μετὰ τῶν πριμικηρίων ὀστιαρίων.) καὶ προκάθηται τῶν μαγίστρων καὶ πραιποσίτων, καὶ πρὸς τὸν βασιλέα εἰσερχόμενος, ὥσπερ τὸ παλαιὸν ὁ πραιπόσιτος, ἀμέσως εἰσέρχεται, τιμώμενος ὑπὸ πάντων. ἐν δὲ ταῖς ἑορταῖς φορῶν ἅπερ ἔλαβεν ἀλλάξιμα σὺν καμπαγίοις καὶ ἁ 443 λουργέσι καμποτούβοις προπορεύεται ἔμπροσθεν τοῦ βασιλέως. ἐν δὲ ταῖς ἱππικαῖς προελεύσεσι τὰ δίροδα διάχρυσα στιχάριον καὶ σαγίον, συμπορεύεται τῷ πραιποσίτῳ, καὶ ὁπηνίκα μέλλει στέφεσθαι ὁ βασιλεὺς ἢ ἀποστέφεσθαι, σύνεστι τούτῳ. αἱ ἀκτολογίαι τῶν μερῶν· "πολλὰ ἔτη τοῦ βασιλέως· ὁ δεῖνα βασιλέως αὐτοκράτορος πολλὰ τὰ ἔτη· ὁ δεῖνα τοῦ εὐτυχεστάτου καίσαρος πολλὰ τὰ ἔτη· καλῶς ἦλθες, λαμπρότατε πρόεδρε τῆς συγκλήτου. καλῶς ἦλθες, ὁ πιστὸς δοῦλος καὶ φίλος τοῦ βασιλέως ἀναφανείς· καλῶς ἦλθες, ἠγαπημένε τῷ θεοστέπτῳ βασιλεῖ· καλῶς ἦλθες, ἠγαπημένε τῷ εὐτυχεστάτῳ καίσαρι· καλῶς ἦλθες, ἠγαπημένε τῇ συγκλήτῳ· καλῶς ἦλθες, ἠγαπημένε τῷ δήμῳ παντί. δόξα Θεῷ τῷ δοξάσαντι τὸν δεσπότην· δόξα Θεῷ τῷ μεγαλύναντι τὸν εὐτυχέστατον καίσαρα· δόξα Θεῷ τῷ τιμήσαντί σε πρόεδρον τῆς συγκλήτου· δόξα Θεῷ τῷ μόνῳ βασιλεῖ τῷ προβιβάζοντι ἀξίως τοὺς ἀξίους καὶ σὲ, ὁ δεῖνα, τιμήσαντι τῇ τοῦ προέδρου λαμπροτάτῃ ἀξίᾳ. καλῶς ἦλθες, προβολὴ εὐεργέτου· καλῶς ἦλθες, ὁ εὐγενὴς ἐκ προγόνων· καλῶς ἦλθες εἰς φιλοῦντά σε δῆμον· ἀξίως σὲ ἠγάπησεν ὁ δεσπότης, ὡς ὄντα καθαρὸν καὶ ἐπάξιον. ἀλλ' ὁ πάντων ποιητὴς καὶ δεσπότης φυλάξῃ σὲ, λαμπρότατε πρόεδρε τῆς συγκλήτου, εἰς πλήθη χρόνων. πολυχρόνιον ποιήσει ὁ Θεὸς τὸν αὐθέντην, τοὺς ἀπελτ...., ὁμοίως τοῖς πατρικίοις."
