365 {3Jο 10, 39}3From which things he easily escapes them even against their will, it is shown that he would not have been caught unless willingly. 366 {3Jο 10, 40}3In order that he might remind the crowds of what John had said about him, he came there. Because of the weakness of the hearers he says "the glory of the Father"; because he was not vainglorious he did not say "you will see my glory," but "that of the Father." 386 {3Jο 11, 41}3And being equal to the Father he gives thanks to him, so that we might give thanks to the one above ourselves. This is said among friends and those of equal honor. 387 {3Jο 11, 43}3As the soul was far away he calls with a loud cry, not, however, as though it were in the tomb, as the children of the Hellenes fable. And the cry of the Lord was a type of the "great trumpet" that is to sound at the general resurrection. And the command is befitting of God and kingly. 388 {3Jο 11, 44}3Thus also is the universal resurrection going to happen, "in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye." And a nearly similar sign of the resurrection was for him to come out walking with his hands and feet and eyes bound. By untying him they bore witness, that it was not a phantom, but it was Lazarus.
