persisting, you will make your iniquity greater than its remission. For this reason, concerning all things, the paraclete and good Spirit forewarned all, and reminded of all things: both how the fornicator is cast out of the royal wedding with shame, and how also the five foolish virgins through harshness were shut out from the heavenly joy, how that rich man through luxury and his merciless disposition obtained that place of torment. Likewise also the other rich man, the one extending his storehouses and gathering much and gaining nothing, was rightly called a fool.

And you are not ignorant of what those on the left hand heard because they did not give. And the Lord called the thief a murderer, saying, The thief does not come, except to steal and to kill and to destroy. These and such things the Holy Spirit spoke through the mouth of the saints, and I have reminded you; and concerning all these things the Apostle cries out, saying: See that you do not refuse him who is speaking. And for now what has been said will suffice for you, and especially for the more diligent, by the grace and love for mankind of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has ordered all things at the aforesaid time for our salvation, and calls us to his eternal king60.699 dom, and by the prayers of the aforementioned saints, to whom be glory and power together with the Father and the Holy Spirit 60.700 as it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be, world without end. ἐπιμένων, μείζω τῆς ἀφέσεως κατασκευάσῃς σοι τὴν ἀνομίαν. ∆ιὰ τοῦτο περὶ πάντα προησφαλίσατο πᾶσι τὸ παράκλητον καὶ ἀγαθὸν Πνεῦμα, καὶ πάντα ὑπέμνησε, καὶ πῶς ὁ πόρνος ἐκ τοῦ βασιλικοῦ γάμου μετ' αἰσχύνης ἐκβάλλεται, πῶς δὲ καὶ αἱ πέντε μωραὶ παρθένοι διὰ ἀπήνειαν ἔξω ἀπεκλείσθησαν τῆς οὐρανίου χαρᾶς, πῶς ὁ πλούσιος ἐκεῖνος διὰ τρυφὴν καὶ τὴν ἀνήλεον αὐτοῦ γνώμην ἐν τῷ τόπῳ ἐκείνῳ τῆς βασάνου ἔλαχεν. Ὁμοίως καὶ ὁ ἕτερος πλούσιος, ὁ τὰς ἀποθήκας ἐκτείνων καὶ συνάγων πολλὰ καὶ κερδαίνων οὐδὲν, ἄφρων δικαίως ἤκουσεν.

Οὐκ ἀγνοεῖτε δὲ τί καὶ οἱ ἐξ εὐωνύμων διὰ ἀμετάδοτον ἤκουσαν. Τὸν δὲ κλέπτην ὁ Κύριος φονέα ἐκάλεσε λέγων, Ὁ κλέπτης οὐκ ἔρχεται, εἰ μὴ ἵνα κλέψῃ καὶ θύσῃ καὶ ἀπολέσῃ. Ταῦτα καὶ τὰ τοιαῦτα διὰ στόματος τῶν ἁγίων τὸ ἅγιον Πνεῦμα ἐλάλησε, κἀγὼ δὲ ὑπέμνησα· καὶ ἐπὶ πᾶσι τούτοις ὁ Ἀπόστολος κράζει λέγων· Βλέπετε μὴ παραιτήσησθε τὸν λαλοῦντα. Καὶ ἀρκέσει τέως ὑμῖν τὰ εἰρημένα, καὶ μάλιστα τοῖς σπουδαιοτέροις, χάριτι καὶ φιλανθρωπίᾳ τοῦ Κυρίου ἡμῶν Ἰησοῦ Χριστοῦ τοῦ πάντα κατὰ τὸν προειρηκότα καιρὸν οἰκονομήσαντος εἰς τὴν ἡμῶν σωτηρίαν, καὶ προσκαλουμένου εἰς τὴν αἰώνιον αὐτοῦ βασι60.699 λείαν, εὐχαῖς δὲ τῶν μνημονευθέντων ἁγίων, ᾧ ἡ δόξα καὶ τὸ κράτος ἅμα τῷ Πατρὶ καὶ τῷ ἁγίῳ Πνεύματι 60.700 ὡς ἦν ἐν ἀρχῇ, νῦν καὶ ἀεὶ, καὶ εἰς τοὺς αἰῶνας τῶν αἰώνων.
