Εἷς γοῦν Φρόντων καλούμενος, ἀπὸ Παλατίου τυγχάνων, καὶ πάθος ἔχων δεινὸν, τήν τε γὰρ γλῶτ ταν ἑαυτοῦ κατήσθιε, καὶ τοὺς ὀφθαλμοὺς ἔμελλε βλάπτεσθαι, εἰσελθὼν εἰς τὸ ὄρος, ἠξίου τὸν Ἀντώ νιον εὔξεσθαι περὶ αὐτοῦ. Ὁ δὲ εὐξάμενος, ἔλεγε τῷ Φρόντωνι· Ἄπελθε, καὶ θεραπεύῃ. Τοῦ δὲ βιασαμένου, καὶ μείναντος ἔνδον ἡμέρας, ἐπέμενε λέγων ὁ Ἀντώνιος· Οὐ δυνήσῃ μένων ὧδε θεραπευθῆναι. Ἔξελθε, καὶ φθάσας εἰς τὴν Αἴγυπτον, ὄψει τὸ γινόμε νον εἰς σὲ σημεῖον. Πιστεύσας ἐκεῖνος ἐξῆλθε· καὶ ὡς μόνον εἶδε τὴν Αἴγυπτον, πέπαυτο τοῦ πάθους, καὶ γέγονεν ὑγιὴς ὁ ἄνθρωπος κατὰ τὸν λόγον Ἀντω νίου, ὃν εὐξάμενος ἔμαθε παρὰ τοῦ Σωτῆρος. Παρθένος δέ τις ἀπὸ Βουσίρεως τῆς Τριπό λεως πάθος εἶχε δεινὸν καὶ λίαν αἰσχρόν. Τά τε γὰρ δάκρυα αὐτῆς, καὶ αἱ μύξαι, καὶ τὰ ἐκ τῶν ὤτων ὑγρὰ πίπτοντα χαμαὶ, σκώληκες εὐθὺς ἐγίνοντο· ἦν δὲ καὶ τὸ σῶμα παραλελυμένη, καὶ τοὺς ὀφθαλμοὺς εἶχεν οὐ κατὰ φύσιν. Ταύτης οἱ γονεῖς μαθόντες ἀπερ χομένους πρὸς τὸν Ἀντώνιον μοναχοὺς, πιστεύσαν τες τῷ Κυρίῳ τῷ τὴν αἱμοῤῥοοῦσαν θεραπεύ σαντι, ἠξίωσαν μετὰ τῆς θυγατρὸς συνοδεῦσαι τού 26.928 τοις.
