them; so that, being freed from this malignant curiosity, they may devote all their leisure to the examination of their own evils. For thus both those who have fallen will rise again by the memory of their sins not being paraded, and those continually considering their own evils will easily put them away, becoming by the memory of their sins more reluctant to do the rest, and those continually observing the virtue of the saints will receive the greatest zeal for their imitation; and through all these things, the whole body of the Church having been set right for us, we shall be able with this fullness to enter into the kingdom of heaven; which may we all attain, by the grace and loving-kindness of our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom and with whom to the Father be the glory, together with the Holy Spirit, now and ever and unto the ages of ages. αὐτούς· ἵνα τῆς κακοσχολίας ταύτης ἀπαλλαγέντες, πᾶσαν τὴν σχολὴν εἰς τὴν ἔρευναν τῶν οἰκείων ἀναλίσκωσι κακῶν. Οὕτω γὰρ οἵ τε πεπτωκότες ἀναστήσονται τῇ μνήμῃ τῶν ἡμαρτημένων αὐτοῖς οὐκ ἐκπομπευομένων, οἵ τε τὰ οἰκεῖα ἀναλογιζόμενοι συνεχῶς κακὰ, ῥᾳδίως αὐτὰ ἀποθήσονται, τῇ μνήμῃ τῶν ἡμαρτημένων πρὸς τὴν τῶν λοιπῶν πρᾶξιν ὀκνηρότεροι γινόμενοι, οἵ τε τὴν ἀρετὴν τῶν ἁγίων ἐπισκοποῦντες συνεχῶς, μέγιστον λήψονται ζῆλον πρὸς τὴν τῶν αὐτῶν μίμησιν· καὶ διὰ τούτων ἁπάντων ὁλοκλήρου τοῦ σώματος τῆς Ἐκκλησίας ἡμῖν κατορθωθέντος, δυνησόμεθα μετὰ τοῦ πληρώματος τούτου εἰς τὴν βασιλείαν τῶν οὐρανῶν εἰσελθεῖν· ἧς γένοιτο πάντας ἡμᾶς ἐπιτυχεῖν, χάριτι καὶ φιλανθρωπίᾳ τοῦ Κυρίου ἡμῶν Ἰησοῦ Χριστοῦ, δι' οὗ καὶ μεθ' οὗ τῷ Πατρὶ ἡ δόξα, ἅμα τῷ ἁγίῳ Πνεύματι, νῦν καὶ ἀεὶ καὶ εἰς τοὺς αἰῶνας τῶν αἰώνων.
