And there will be an abundance of fruits, but the fall of a powerful person; and public affairs will be close to prosperity. When the Moon is in Taurus, if it thunders during the day, it indicates heavy rain and a hail-filled air, and overflowings of rivers. And fish will be abundant, but those who watch over the sea-passages will be most grieved. And the harvest will be good, but a plague for the cattle. But if at night, a scarcity of fruits, and the summer season will be rainy and hail-filled. And miscarriages of women will happen, and fresh water will fail; and movements of armies will be grievous, and in the east an unfortunate tyrant will cause trouble. When the Moon is in Gemini, if it thunders during the day, public affairs will be most pious; but if at night, the opposite. When the Moon is in Cancer, if thunder occurs during the day and deaths happen, there will be disturbances in public affairs and innovations in affairs for the worse; and the crops will fail. And deadly reptiles will creep upon the cattle; and powerful men of the state will fall. 41 When the Moon is in Virgo, if it thunders during the day, the condition of the air will be more humid, but an abundance of dry fruits, so that people will somehow become gently more prone to transgressions. And there will also be destruction of the female population. But if at night, a plague will fall upon the western regions; and wild beasts will so attack men, that they will hide themselves in dens; and there will be a fall of powerful men, and a scarcity of dry fruits. When the Moon is in Libra, if it thunders during the day, let men expect good things, with the Egyptians excepted. But if at night, the youth will be under arms and will be destroyed in wars, yet there will be an abundance of fruits, but it will be consumed by barbarians. When the Moon is in Scorpio, if it happens that thunder or lightning occurs during the day, the Arabians will be troubled, and there will be a scarcity of fruits, and men will move against one another; and Assyria indeed will be oppressed by famine. But if at night, there will be fires, and falls of coastal cities and destruction of fruits and quadrupeds, and an attack of all sorts of wild beasts; whence one must pray, that they not also be consumed by falling thunderbolts. When the Moon is in Sagittarius, if it thunders during the day, it threatens annihilation for the Persians, and their king will be assassinated, and there will be a good harvest and the winters will be fair, and destruction of men, and enslavements of cities. But if at night, it indicates heavy rain, and hardship for pregnant women and diseases and sudden deaths, so that the fruits will be in surplus, but those who would consume them will be lacking. And there will be tremors and violent winds, and a man who is powerful and burdensome to public affairs will disappear.

Σελήνης οὔσης ἐν σκορπίῳ ἐὰν ἐν ἡμέρᾳ βροντὴν ἢ ἀστραπὴν γενέσθαι συμβαίη, Ἀράβιοι ταραχθήσονται, ἔνδεια δὲ τῶν καρπῶν ἔσται, καὶ οἱ ἄνθρωποι κατ' ἀλλήλων χωρήσουσιν· Ἀσσυρία γε μὴν πιεσθήσεται λιμῷ. εἰ δὲ νυκτός, πυρκαϊαὶ μὲν ἔσονται, πτώσεις δὲ πόλεων παραλίων καὶ διαφθορὰ καρπῶν καὶ τετραπόδων, θηρίων δὲ παντοίων ἐπιδρομή· ὅθεν εὔχεσθαι δεῖ, ὅπως μὴ καὶ κεραυνῶν ἐνσκήψεσιν ἀναλωθῶσι. Σελήνης οὔσης ἐν τοξότῃ ἐὰν ἐν ἡμέρᾳ βροντήσῃ, Πέρσαις ἀφανισμὸν ἀπειλεῖ, καὶ ὁ βασιλεὺς δὲ αὐτῶν δολοφονηθήσεται, εὐκαρπία δὲ ἔσται καὶ χειμῶνες εὔδιοι ἔσονται, καὶ φθορὰ μὲν ἀνθρώπων, ἀνδραποδισμοὶ δὲ πόλεων. εἰ δὲ ἐν νυκτί, ἐπομβρίαν δηλοῖ, καὶ κάματον δὲ τοῖς ἐγκύμοσι καὶ νόσους καὶ θανάτους αἰφνιδίους, ὡς περιττεύειν μὲν τοὺς καρπούς, ἀπολείπεσθαι δὲ τοὺς δαπανῶντας. ἔσονται δὲ σάλοι καὶ ἄνεμοι βίαιοι, καὶ ἀφανισθήσεται ἀνὴρ δυνατὸς καὶ βαρὺς τοῖς πράγμασιν.
