2,14a The wise man's eyes are in his head. Having said that the one looking up [...] and doing all things according to "wisdom" is "wise," and the one who opposes and is contrary is "foolish," lest someone take these things literally, he proceeds to the "inner man" and says that "the wise man's eyes are in his head." If we take it with respect to the perceptible "eyes," both the "fool" and the "wise man" have the "eyes" in the same face. The "wise man" therefore, insofar as he is "wise," has looked upward to Christ, his "head"; for "the head of every man is Christ." The "head" therefore of the "wise man" is the mind, so that he says: "But we have the mind of Christ." from this "head" [...], in which "memory" occurs. Since... the "eyes in his head" the church ... it is to say so that all understand? For this reason the "wise man" is in "wisdom" because he is named from it by partaking of it.

2,14a τοῦ σοφ̣οῦ οἱ ὀφθαλμοὶ ἐν κεφαλῇ αὐτοῦ. εἰρηκὼς "σοφὸν" ειναι τὸν αυ̣νω πρ······ν̣ε·κο̣τα καὶ πάντα πράττοντα κατὰ "σοφίαν", "αυ̣φρονα" δὲ τὸν ἀντικείμενον καὶ ἐναντιούμενον, ινα μή τις̣ ἐπὶ ῥητοῦ ταῦτα λάβῃ, χωρεῖ εἰς τὸν "ευ̣σω αυ̣νθρωπον" καὶ̣ λέγει οτι "τοῦ σοφοῦ οἱ ὀφθαλμοὶ ἐν τῇ κεφαλῇ αὐτοῦ" εἰσιν. ἐὰν ἐπὶ τῶν αἰ̣σθ̣ητῶν "ὀφθαλμ̣ῶν" λάβωμ̣ε̣ν, ἐν τῷ αὐτῷ προσώπῳ ευ̣χει καὶ ὁ "αφρων" καὶ ὁ "σοφὸς" τοὺς "ὀφθαλμούς". ὁ δὲ "σοφὸς" ουν, ῃ "σοφός" ἐστιν, αυ̣νω νένευκεν πρὸς τὸν Χριστόν, τὴν "κεφαλὴν" αὐτοῦ· "ἡ κεφαλὴ" γὰρ "παντὸς ἀνδρὸς ὁ Χριστός ἐστιν". ἡ δὲ "κεφαλὴ" ουν τοῦ "σοφοῦ" ὁ ν̣οῦς̣ ἐσ̣τι̣ν, ωστ̣ε̣ λέγειν· "ἡμεῖς δὲ νοῦν Χριστοῦ ευ̣χομεν". ἐκ ταύτης τ̣ῆς "κεφαλῆς" ···εχε̣········, ἐφ' ῃ "μνήμη" γίνεται. ἐπερ· τοὺς "ὀφθαλμοὺς ἐν κεφαλῇ αὐτοῦ" τὴν̣ ἐκκλησίαν ··· ευ̣στ̣ιν λέγειν ωστε πάντας νοεῖν; διὰ τοῦτο ὁ "σοφός" ἐστιν ἐν τῇ "σοφίᾳ" οτι ὁ π̣αρο̣νομ̣αζόμενος ἀπ' αὐτῆς τῷ μετέχειν αὐτῆς.
