After these things, however, Amaziah, having struck those in Seir, was lifted up, and served the idols of the men of Seir, and was struck down, delivered to his enemies. But being prosperous he was lifted up, and wished to burn incense for himself in the temple, which is permitted only to the priests. And in his time were Isaiah and Oded the prophets. Hezekiah his son, 29 years, and he did what was right like David, perfectly. This one took down the bronze serpent, which Moses had hung up. In his time Sennacherib and Rabshakeh the Assyrians, blaspheming, were themselves struck, and after this in one night an angel went out and destroyed 185,000. And when Hezekiah was about to die, he received an extension of 15 years. Manasseh his son, 55 years, and he did what was evil. And as many things as Hezekiah tore down, this one rebuilt, and he became another Jeroboam for Judah, so that because of him Jerusalem suffered, as did Samaria. For indeed concerning him it was said, "Who made Judah sin." Therefore he was also led captive to Babylon. But in captivity, as is written in the Chronicles, when he repented God returned him to Jerusalem, and again he took hold of the kingdom. And repenting and teaching the people to serve God, he died. And he was not buried in the city of David, but in his own garden, the garden of Uzza. Amon his son, 2 years, and he did what was evil, as his father Manasseh did, and his servants killed him, and he was buried in the garden of Uzza, where his father also was. Josiah his son, 31 years. The people raised this one up as king, being 8 years old, and he did what was right in every 56.356 way of David, and did not turn aside to the right, or to the left. Ἐν δὲ τῇ Σαμαρείᾳ φυλαὶ δέκα. Ἐπὶ τούτου ἦσαν προφῆται Ἀχίας ὁ Σιλωνίτης, καὶ Ἀδδώ. Ἀβία ὁ υἱὸς αὐτοῦ ἐβασίλευσε ἔτη τρία. Καὶ οὐκ ἦν ἡ καρδία αὐτοῦ ὡς ∆αυῒδ, ἀλλ' 56.355 ἐπορεύθη ἐν τῇ ἁμαρτίᾳ τοῦ πατρὸς αὐτοῦ. Καὶ ἐπὶ τούτου ἦν Ἀδδὼ ὁ προφήτης. Ἀσὰ ὁ υἱὸς αὐτοῦ ἔτη μαʹ, καὶ ἐποίησε τὸ εὐθές· ἀλλ' ἔτι ἦν τὰ ὑψηλά. Ἐπὶ τούτου ἦσαν Ἀζαρίας υἱὸς Ὠδὴδ, καὶ Ἀναμὶ, οἱπροφῆται. Ἰωσαφὰτ υἱὸς αὐτοῦ ἔτη κεʹ, καὶ ἐποίησε τὸ εὐθές· ἀλλὰ τὰ ὑψηλὰ ἔτι ὑπῆρχε. Καὶ μετὰ ταῦτα μέμψιν ἔσχεν ἀνομίας, ὅτι ἐφιλίασε τῷ Ὀχοζίᾳ βασιλεῖ Ἰσραὴλ, καὶ ἐκοινώνησεν αὐτῷ εἰς πλεῖον πραγματείας. Ἐπὶ τούτου ἦσαν προφῆται Ἠλίας, Ἑλιςσαιὲ, Μιχαίας, καὶ Ἰοῦ ὁ τοῦ Ἀνεμὶ, καὶ Ὀζιὴλ ὁτοῦ Ζαχαρίου, καὶ Ἐλιάδαδ ὁ τοῦ Ἀδιὰ ἀπὸ Μαρίσσης. Ἰωρὰμ ὁ υἱὸς αὐτοῦ ἔτη ηʹ, καὶ ἐποίησε τὸ πονηρόν. Εἶχε γὰρ γυναῖκα θυγατέρα Ἀχαάβ. Καὶ ἐπὶ τούτου ἦσαν Ἠλίας καὶ Ἑλισσαῖος. Ὀχοζίας υἱὸς αὐτοῦ ἔτος αʹ, καὶ ἐποίησε τὸ πονηρόν. Μετ' αὐτὸν Γοθολία ἡ μήτηρ αὐτοῦ, ἔτη ἑπτά. Ἰωᾶς υἱὸς Ὀχοζίου ἔτη μʹ. Οὗτος ἐφόνευσε τὸν Ζαχαρίαν, καὶ ἐποίησε τὸ εὐθὲς ἐν ὅλῃ τῇ ψυχῇ αὐτοῦ, ἕως Ἰωδαὲ ὁ συνετὸς ἔζη, καὶ ἐφώτισεν αὐτόν. Τοῦτον ἀπέκτειναν οἱ δοῦλοι αὐτοῦ ἐν οἴκῳ Μαελώθ. Ἐπὶ τούτου ἐπροφήτευσε Ζαχαρίας υἱὸς Ἰωδαέ. Ἀμεσίας υἱὸς αὐτοῦ ἔτη ιθʹ, καὶ ἐποίησε τὸ εὐθὲς ἐν ἀρχῇ, ἀλλ' οὐχ ὡς ∆αυΐδ. Ἔτι γὰρ ὁ λαὸς ἐθυσίαζεν ἐν τοῖς ὑψηλοῖς, καὶ τὰ ἄλση οὐκ ἐξῆρε. Καὶ ἐπὶ τούτου ἐπροφήτευσαν προφῆται, ἀλλ' οὐκ ἐγράφησαν τὰ ὀνόματα αὐτῶν. Μετὰ ταῦτα μέντοι Ἀμεσίας πατάξας τοὺς ἐν Σηεὶρ, ἐπήρθη, καὶ ἐλάτρευσε τοῖς εἰδώλοις τῶν Σηεὶρ, καὶ ἐπατάχθη παραδοθεὶς τοῖς ἐχθροῖς. Ἀζαρίας ὁ καὶ Ὀζίας ἔτη νβʹ, καὶ ἐποίησε κατὰ τὴν ἀρχὴν τὸ εὐθὲς, ὡς ὁ πατὴρ αὐτοῦ· πλὴν τὰ ὑψηλὰ οὐκ ἐξῆρεν. Εὐοδούμενος δὲ ἐπήρθη, καὶ ἠθέλησεν ἑαυτῷ θυμιᾶσαι ἐν τῷ ναῷ, ὅπερ μόνοις τοῖς ἱερεῦσιν ἔξεστι. ∆ιὸ καὶ ἐλεπρώθη ἀκούσας· Οὐ σοὶ, Ὀζία, θυμιᾶσαι τῷ Κυρίῳ, ὃ μόνοις τοῖς ἱερεῦσιν ἔξεστιν. Ἐπὶ τούτου προφήτης Ἡσαΐας. Ἰωθὰμ ὁ υἱὸς αὐτοῦ ἐβασίλευσεν ἔτη ι ϛʹ, καὶ ἐποίησε τὸ εὐθὲς ὡς ὁ πατὴρ αὐτοῦ· πλὴν τὰ ὑψηλὰ οὐκ ἐξῆρε. Καὶ ἐπὶ τούτου ἦν Ἡσαΐας. Ἀχὰζ υἱὸς αὐτοῦ ἔτη ι ϛʹ, καὶ ἐποίησε τὸ πονηρόν. Καὶ ἐπὶ τούτου ἦν Ἡσαΐας καὶ Ὠδὴδ προφῆται. Ἐζεκίας ὁυἱὸς αὐτοῦ ἔτη κθʹ, καὶ ἐποίησε τὸ εὐθὲς ὡς ∆αυῒδ τελείως. Οὗτος καθεῖλεν ὄφιν χαλκοῦν, ὃν ἐκρέμασε Μωϋσῆς. Ἐπὶ τούτου Σεναχηρεὶμ καὶ Ῥαψάκης οἱἈσσύριοι βλασφημοῦντες ἐπατάχθησαν μὲν αὐτοὶ, μετὰ ταῦτα ἐν μιᾷ δὲ νυκτὶ χιλιάδας ρπεʹ ἐξελθὼν ἄγγελος ἀνεῖλε. Μέλλων δὲ Ἐζεκίας ἀποθνήσκειν, ἔλαβε προσθήκην ἔτη ιεʹ. Μανασσῆς ὁ υἱὸς αὐτοῦ ἔτη νεʹ, καὶ ἐποίησε τὸ πονηρόν. Ὅσα δὲ κατέσκαψεν Ἐζεκίας, ταῦτα οὗτος ἀνήγειρε, καὶ γέγονεν ἄλλος Ἱεροβοὰμ τῷ Ἰούδᾳ, ὥστε δι' αὐτὸν παθεῖν τὴν Ἱερουσαλὴμ, ὡς τὴν Σαμάρειαν. Καὶ γὰρ ἐπ' αὐτοῦ ἐλέχθη, Ὃς ἐξήμαρτε τὸν Ἰούδαν. ∆ιὸ καὶ αἰχμάλωτος ἀπήχθη εἰς Βαβυλῶνα. Ἀλλ' ἐν τῇ αἰχμαλωσίᾳ, ὡς ἐν τοῖς Παραλειπομένοις γέγραπται, μετανοήσαντα αὐτὸν μετέστρεψεν ὁ Θεὸς εἰς Ἱερουσαλὴμ, καὶ πάλιν ἀντελάβετο τῆς βασιλείας. Μετανοῶν δὲ καὶ διδάσκων τὸν λαὸν δουλεύειν τῷ Θεῷ, ἐτελεύτησεν. Οὐκ ἐτάφη δὲ ἐν πόλει ∆αυῒδ, ἀλλ' ἐν τῷ κήπῳ αὐτοῦ, κήπῳ Ὀζᾶ. Ἀμὼς ὁ υἱὸς αὐτοῦ ἔτη βʹ, καὶ ἐποίησε τὸ πονηρὸν, ὡς ὁ πατὴρ αὐτοῦ Μανασσῆς, καὶ ἀνεῖλον αὐτὸν οἱ παῖδες αὐτοῦ, καὶ ἐτάφη ἐν κήπῳ Ὀζᾶ, ἔνθα καὶ ὁ πατὴρ αὐτοῦ. Ἰωσίας ὁ υἱὸς αὐτοῦ ἔτη λαʹ. Τοῦτον ὁ λαὸς ἤγειρε βασιλέα, ὄντα ἐτῶν ηʹ, καὶ ἐποίησε τὸ εὐθὲς ἐν πάσῃ 56.356 ὁδῷ ∆αυῒδ, καὶ οὐκ ἀπέστη δεξιᾷ, οὐδὲ ἀριστερᾷ. Καὶ γὰρ καὶ τὰ ἄλση ἐξέκοψε, καὶ τὰ εἴδωλα πάντα καθεῖλε.
