καὶ πάλιν λαμβάνει νεῦμα ὁ ἀκόλουθος παρὰ τοῦ τῆς καταστάσεως, καὶ προσκαλεῖται τοὺς δʹ τῶν ταγμάτων τοποτηρητὰς, χαρτουλαρίους,
κόμητας τῶν σχολῶν, σκρίβωνάς τε καὶ λοιποὺς μεγάλους ἄρχοντας, καὶ τῶν νουμέρων καὶ τειχέων. χρὴ δὲ εἰδέναι, ὅτι, τῶν δʹ
ταγμάτων ἐν τῇ πόλει μὴ ὄντων, 525 προσκαλεῖται τοὺς τοποτηρητὰς καὶ χαρτουλαρίους τῶν νουμέρων καὶ τειχέων καὶ τοὺς ἄρχοντας
τοῦ ἀριθμοῦ, καὶ εἰσέρχονται ἀπὸ σκαραμαγγίων, φοροῦντες τὰ ἑαυτῶν σπαθία, καὶ ἵστανται ἐπ' εὖρος τοῦ αὐτοῦ τρικλίνου, καὶ
τὰς χεῖρας δεδεμένας ἔχοντες καὶ σιωπῇ χρώμενοι. καὶ ὅτε πάντα ταῦτα τελεσθῶσιν, ἐξέρχεται ὁ ἀρτοκλίνης φορῶν σπαθίον μετὰ
τοῦ τῆς καταστάσεως καὶ τοῦ ὀστιαρίου, καὶ ἔρχονται ἀμφότεροι εἰς τὸν πραιπόσιτον, ὑπομιμνήσκοντες αὐτῷ τοῦ γενέσθαι μίνσαι.
ὁ δὲ αὐτὸς ἀρτοκλίνης μέλλων ἐξέρχεσθαι, προσκυνεῖ τὸν δρουγγάριον τῆς βίγλης, εἶτα κράζει ἐν τῷ τοῦ κλητωρίου τομαρίῳ κατ'
ὄνομα οὓς ὀφείλει
