They only live, but their works are dead. such people are neither living nor have they died. Therefore they are like the double-minded; for the double-minded are neither green nor dry; for they neither live nor have they died. For just as these plants, when they saw the sun, were withered, so also the double-minded, when they hear of affliction, because of their cowardice, practice idolatry and are ashamed of the name of their Lord. Such people, therefore, are neither living nor have they died. But these also, if they repent quickly, will be able to live; but if they do not repent, they are already delivered to the women who take away their life. But from the fifth mountain, which has green plants and is rugged, those who believed are of this kind: faithful, but slow to learn and stubborn and self-pleasing, wishing to know everything, and they know nothing at all. Because of this stubbornness of theirs, understanding departed from them, and a foolish senselessness entered into them. And they praise themselves as having understanding and wish to be volunteer teachers, being senseless. Therefore, because of this high-mindedness, many were made empty while exalting themselves; for stubbornness and empty confidence is a great demon; of these, therefore, many were cast away, but some repented and believed and submitted themselves to those having understanding, recognizing their own foolishness. And for the rest of such people, repentance is available; for they did not become wicked, but rather foolish and without understanding. These therefore, if they repent, will live to God; but if they do not repent, they will dwell with the women who work evil against them. But those from the sixth mountain, which has large and small cracks and in the cracks withered plants, who believed are of this kind. Those who have the small cracks, these are the ones who have things against one another, and from their slanders against each other they are withered in the faith; but many of these repented. And the rest will repent when they hear my commandments; for their slanders are small, and they will repent quickly. But those who have large cracks, these are persistent in their slanders and become resentful, being angry with one another; these, therefore, were thrown away from the tower and rejected from its building. Such people, therefore, will live with difficulty. If God and our Lord, who is master of all and has authority over all His creation, does not hold a grudge against those who confess their sins, but becomes merciful, does a man, being mortal and full of sins, hold a grudge against a man, as if able to destroy or save him? But I, the angel of repentance, say to you: as many of you as hold this persuasion, put it away and repent, and the Lord will heal your former sins, if you cleanse yourselves from this demon; but if not, you will be delivered to it for death. And from the seventh mountain, on which were green and cheerful plants, and the whole mountain was flourishing, and every kind of cattle and the birds of the sky were feeding on the plants on this mountain, and the plants on which they were feeding became more flourishing, those who believed are of this kind: they were always simple and innocent and blessed, having nothing against one another, but always rejoicing in the servants of God and clothed with the holy spirit of these virgins and always having compassion for every

μόνα ζῶσι, τὰ δὲ ἔργα αὐτῶν νεκρά ἐστιν. οἱ τοιοῦτοι οὔτε ζῶσιν οὔτε τεθνήκασιν. ὅμοιοι οὖν εἰσι τοῖς διψύχοις· καὶ γὰρ οἱ δίψυχοι οὔτε χλωροί εἰσιν οὔτε ξηροί· οὔτε γὰρ ζῶσιν οὔτε τεθνήκασιν. ὥσπερ γὰρ αὗται αἱ βοτάναι ἥλιον ἰδοῦσαι ἐξηράνθησαν, οὕτω καὶ οἱ δίψυχοι, ὅταν θλῖψιν ἀκού σωσι, διὰ τὴν δειλίαν αὐτῶν εἰδωλολατροῦσι καὶ τὸ ὄνομα ἐπαισχύνονται τοῦ κυρίου αὐτῶν. οἱ τοιοῦτοι οὖν οὔτε ζῶσιν οὔτε τεθνήκασιν. ἀλλὰ καὶ οὗτοι ἐὰν ταχὺ μετανοήσωσιν, δυνήσονται ζῆσαι· ἐὰν δὲ μὴ μετανοήσω σιν, ἤδη παραδεδομένοι εἰσὶ ταῖς γυναιξὶ ταῖς ἀποφερομέναις τὴν ζωὴν αὐτῶν. Ἐκ δὲ τοῦ ὄρους τοῦ πέμπτου τοῦ ἔχοντος βοτάνας χλωρὰς καὶ τραχέος ὄντος οἱ πιστεύσαντες τοιοῦτοί εἰσι· πιστοὶ μέν, δυσμαθεῖς δὲ καὶ αὐθάδεις καὶ ἑαυτοῖς ἀρέσκοντες, θέλοντες πάντα γινώσκειν, καὶ οὐδὲν ὅλως γινώσ κουσι. διὰ τὴν αὐθάδειαν αὐτῶν ταύτην ἀπέστη ἀπ' αὐτῶν ἡ σύνεσις, καὶ εἰσῆλθεν εἰς αὐτοὺς ἀφροσύνη μωρά. ἐπαινοῦσι δὲ ἑαυτοὺς ὡς σύνεσιν ἔχον τας καὶ θέλουσιν ἐθελοδιδάσκαλοι εἶναι, ἄφρονες ὄντες. διὰ ταύτην οὖν τὴν ὑψηλοφροσύνην πολλοὶ ἐκενώθησαν ὑψοῦντες ἑαυτούς· μέγα γὰρ δαι μόν[ιόν ἐστ]ιν [ἡ αὐθάδει]α [καὶ ἡ κενὴ πεποίθησις·] ἐκ τούτων οὖν πολλοὶ ἀπεβλήθησαν, τινὲς δὲ μετενόησαν καὶ ἐπίστευσαν καὶ ὑπέταξαν ἑαυτ[οὺς τοῖς] ἔχουσι σύν[εσιν, γνόντες τὴν] ἑαυτῶν ἀφροσύνην. καὶ τοῖς λοιποῖς δὲ τοῖς τοιούτοις κεῖται μετάνοια· οὐκ ἐγένοντο γὰρ πονηροί, μᾶλλον δὲ [μωροὶ καὶ ἀσύνετοι. οὗτοι οὖν ἐὰν] μετανοήσωσι, ζήσονται τῷ θεῷ· ἐὰν δὲ μὴ μετανοήσωσι, κατοικήσουσι μετὰ τῶν γυναικῶν τῶν πονηρευομένων εἰς αὐτούς. Oἱ δὲ ἐκ τ[οῦ ὄρους τοῦ] ἕκτου τοῦ ἔχοντος σχισμὰς μεγάλας καὶ μικρὰς καὶ ἐν ταῖς σχισμαῖς βοτάνας μεμαραμμένας πιστεύσαντες τοιοῦτοί εἰσιν. οἱ μὲν τὰς σχισμὰς τὰς μικρὰς ἔχοντες, οὗτοί εἰσιν οἱ κατ' ἀλλήλων ἔχοντες, καὶ ἀπὸ τῶν καταλαλιῶν ἑαυτῶν μεμαραμμένοι εἰσὶν ἐν τῇ πίστει· ἀλλὰ μετενό[ησαν] ἐκ τούτων πολλοί. καὶ οἱ λοιποὶ δὲ μετανοήσουσιν, ὅταν ἀκούσωσί μου τὰς ἐντολάς· μικραὶ γὰρ αὐτῶν εἰσιν αἱ καταλαλιαί, καὶ ταχὺ μετανοήσουσιν. οἱ δὲ μεγάλας ἔχοντες σχισμάς, οὗτοι παράμονοί εἰσι ταῖς καταλαλιαῖς αὐτῶν καὶ μνησίκακοι γίνονται μηνιῶντες ἀλλή[λοις·] οὗτοι οὖν ἀπὸ τοῦ πύργου ἀπερρίφησαν καὶ ἀπεδοκιμάσθησαν τῆς οἰκοδομῆς αὐτοῦ. οἱ τοιοῦτοι οὖν δυσκόλως ζήσονται. εἰ ὁ θεὸς καὶ ὁ κύριος ἡμῶν ὁ πάντων κυριεύων καὶ ἔχων πάσης τῆς κτίσεως αὐτοῦ τὴν ἐξουσίαν οὐ μνησικακεῖ τοῖς ἐξομολογουμένοις τὰς ἁμαρτίας αὐ[τῶν], ἀλλ' ἵλεως γίνεται, ἄνθρωπος φθαρτὸς ὢν καὶ πλήρης ἁμαρτιῶν ἀνθρώπῳ μνη σικακεῖ ὡς δυνάμενος ἀπολέσαι ἢ σῶσαι αὐτόν; λέγω δ[ὲ ὑ]μ[ῖν, ὁ] ἄγγε λος τῆς μετανοίας· ὅσοι ταύτην ἔχετε τὴν αἵρεσιν, ἀπόθεσθε αὐτὴν καὶ μετανοήσατε, καὶ ὁ κύριος ἰάσεται ὑμῶν τὰ πρότερ[α ἁμαρτήματα,] ἐὰν κα θαρίσητε ἑαυτοὺς ἀπὸ τούτου τοῦ δαιμονίου· εἰ δὲ μή, παραδοθήσεσθε αὐτῷ εἰς θάνατον. Ἐκ δὲ τοῦ ἑβδόμο[υ ὄρους, ἐν ᾧ βοτάναι] χλωραὶ [καὶ] ἱλαραί, καὶ ὅλον τὸ ὄρος εὐθηνοῦν, καὶ πᾶν γένος κτηνῶν καὶ τὰ πετεινὰ τοῦ οὐρανοῦ ἐνέ μοντο τὰς βοτ[άνας ἐν τούτῳ τῷ] ὄρει, καὶ αἱ βοτάναι, ἃς ἐνέμοντο, μᾶλλον εὐθαλεῖς ἐγίνοντο, οἱ πιστεύσαντες τοιοῦτοί εἰσι· πάντοτε ἁπλοῖ [καὶ ἄ]κακοι [καὶ μακάριοι ἐ]γίνοντο, μηδὲν κατ' ἀλλήλων ἔχοντες, ἀλλὰ πάντοτε ἀγαλλιώμενοι ἐπὶ τοῖς δούλοις τοῦ θεοῦ καὶ ἐνδεδυμένοι [τὸ] πνεῦμα [τὸ ἅγιον τούτων τῶν πα]ρθένων καὶ πάντοτε σπλάγχνον ἔχοντες ἐπὶ πάντα
