man, and from their own labors they supplied every man without reproach and without hesitation. The Lord, therefore, seeing their simplicity and all their innocence, multiplied them in the labors of their hands and graced them in their every action. And I, the angel of repentance, say to you who are such: remain so, and your seed shall not be blotted out forever; for the Lord has tested you and has written you into our number, and all your seed will dwell with the Son of God; for you have received of his Spirit. And from the eighth mountain, where there were the many springs and all the creation of the Lord was watered from the springs, those who believed are such as these: apostles and teachers who preached to the whole world and who taught the word of the Lord reverently and purely, and misappropriated nothing at all for evil desire, but always walked in righteousness and truth, just as they also received the Holy Spirit. The way of such as these, therefore, is with the angels. And from the ninth mountain, which was deserted, having on it the reptiles and wild beasts that destroy men, those who believed are such as these: those having the spots are deacons who ministered badly and plundered the livelihood of widows and orphans and made gain for themselves from the ministry which they received to minister; if, therefore, they persist in the same desire, they have died and there is no hope of life for them; but if they turn back and purely complete their ministry, they will be able to live. And those with the scabs, these are the ones who have denied and have not turned back to their Lord, but having become barren and desolate, not cleaving to the servants of God, but living alone they destroy their own souls. For just as a vine left behind in some hedge, meeting with neglect, is destroyed and is made desolate by the weeds and in time becomes wild, and is no longer useful to its master, so also such men have given themselves up in despair and become useless to their Lord, having become wild. For these, therefore, there is repentance, if they are not found to have denied from the heart; but if anyone is found to have denied from the heart, I do not know if he is able to live. And I do not say this with reference to these days, that one who has denied may receive repentance; for it is impossible for the one who is about to deny his Lord now to be saved; but for those who denied long ago, there seems to be an opportunity for repentance. If, therefore, anyone is going to repent, let him be quick before the tower is finished; but if not, he will be destroyed to death by the women. And the maimed, these are deceitful and slanderers; and the wild beasts, which you saw on the mountain, these are they. For just as wild beasts destroy a man with their own venom and kill him, so also the words of such men destroy a man and kill him. These, therefore, are maimed from their faith on account of the practice which they have in themselves; but some repented and were saved. And the rest who are such can be saved, if they repent; but if they do not repent, they will die by those women, whose power they have. And from the tenth mountain, where there were trees sheltering some sheep, those who believed are such as these: bishops and hospitable, who gladly always received the servants of God into their own houses without hypocrisy; and the bishops always unceasingly sheltered the needy and widows by their ministry and always conducted themselves purely.
