βήλου τοῦ ἁγίου Θεοδώρου ἐν τῷ μέσῳ τοῦ χρυσοτρικλίνου κατέναντι τοῦ μεσαιτάτου πολυκανδήλου, καὶ προσκυνεῖ, καὶ ἀπὸ τῶν ἐκεῖσε
μέχρις ἂν καταλάβῃ τοὺς πόδας τοῦ βασιλέως, προσκυνεῖ ἐκ δευτέρου, ὡς τρισσὴν εἶναι τὴν ταύτης προσκύνησιν. καὶ εἶθ' οὕτως
πίπτουσα φιλεῖ τοὺς πόδας τοῦ βασιλέως, καὶ ἐξάγεται παρὰ τῶν πραιποσίτων καὶ τῶν λοιπῶν τοῦ κουβουκλείου εἰς τὸν λαυσιακὸν,
καὶ ἀσπάζονται αὐτὴν οἱ τοῦ κουβουκλείου, καὶ ἀπὸ τῶν ἐκεῖσε ἀναλαμβάνονται αὐτὴν οἱ πραιπόσιτοι καὶ ἀπάγουσιν εἰς τὸν κοιτῶνα
τῆς αὐγούστης, καὶ ἀπευχαριστεῖ τὴν αὐγούσταν. οἱ δὲ πραιπόσιτοι ταύτην ἐκεῖσε καταλείποντες ἀπέρχονται ἐν τῷ λαυσιακῷ. ΚΕΦ.
κεʹ. Ὅσα δεῖ παραφυλάττειν ἐπὶ προαγωγῇ κουβικουλαρίου. Τῆς καθημερινῆς προελεύσεως ἱσταμένης, καὶ τοῦ βα 625 σιλέως καθεζομένου
ἐν τῷ χρυσοτρικλίνῳ καὶ κελεύοντος γενέσθαι κουβικουλάριον, δηλοῖ τοῖς πραιποσίτοις, καὶ αὐτοὶ κατὰ τὸ εἰωθὸς ἀναλαμβάνονται
μεθ' ἑαυτῶν δύο κουβικουλαρίους καὶ δύο σπαθαροκουβικουλαρίους καὶ ὀστιάριον καὶ πριμικήριον. εἷς δὲ ἐκ τούτων ὀφείλει εἶναι
καὶ ὁ πριμικήριος τοῦ κουβουκλείου. καὶ εἰσέρχονται ἐν τῷ χρυσοτρικλίνῳ, καὶ οἱ μὲν πραιπόσιτοι εἰσερχόμενοι τὸ πρὸς δύσιν
βῆλον τοῦ χρυσοτρικλίνου προσκυνοῦσι τὸν βασιλέα· οἱ δὲ λοιποὶ τοῦ κουβουκλείου οὐ προσκυνοῦσιν. τοῦ δὲ δευτέρου ἀνοίγοντος
τὸ εὐκτήριον τοῦ ἁγίου μεγαλομάρτυρος Θεοδώρου, εἰσέρχονται πάντες ἐκεῖσε καὶ ἀποκρεμμῶσι τὸ χρυσοῦν
