with the passion that had come upon her, she herself remained within the Pleroma, but her Enthymesis along with the passion was separated by Horos and crucified and having come to be outside of it, was a spiritual substance, as it was a certain natural impulse of an Aeon, but formless and shapeless because it had apprehended nothing. And for this reason they call her a weak and female fruit. 13. But after she was separated outside the Pleroma of the Aeons and her Mother was restored to her own syzygy, the 1.405 Monogenes again put forth another syzygy according to the providence of the Father, so that none of the Aeons might suffer in the same way, Christ and the Holy Spirit, for the confirmation and support of the Pleroma, by whom they say the Aeons were set in order. For Christ taught them the nature of syzygy, † knowing the apprehension of the unbegotten to be sufficient to proclaim also among them the knowledge of the Father, that he is both incomprehensible and unapprehendable and that it is not possible either to see or to hear him except that he is known through the Monogenes alone; and that the cause of eternal permanence for the rest is the unapprehendability of the Father, but of their generation and formation, the apprehendable part of him, which is indeed the Son. And these things, then, the recently projected Christ created among them. But the one Holy Spirit taught them all, having been made equal, to give thanks, and introduced true rest. And so they say the Aeons were established as equals in form and mind, all becoming Minds and all Words and all Men and all Christs, and the females similarly all Truths and all Lives and Spirits and Churches. And having been established upon this, and having rested completely, he says that the all, with great joy, praised the Forefather, having partaken of much gladness. And for this good deed, by one will and mind, the whole Pleroma of the Aeons, with the approval of Christ and the Spirit, and with their Father also sealing it, each one of the 1.406 Aeons having contributed and brought together what was most beautiful and flourishing in itself, and having woven these things fittingly and united them harmoniously, put forth a projection in honor and glory of Bythos, a most perfect beauty and star of the Pleroma, the perfect Fruit, Jesus, who was also called Savior and Christ and Word, patronymically, and the All, because he is from all; and that for his honor, angels of the same kind were also projected with him as bodyguards † their. 14. This, then, is the account said by them to have taken place within the Pleroma, and the disaster of the suffering Aeon that was almost lost, as in much † matter through the search for the Father *, and the formation from struggle of Horos and Stauros and Lytrotes and Karpistes and Horothetes and Metagogeus, and the later generation of the first Christ with the Holy Spirit from repentance by their Father after the Aeons, and the composite construction of the second Christ, whom they also call Savior, from a joint contribution. But these things were not spoken of openly, because not all could contain the knowledge of them, but were revealed mysteriously by the Savior through parables to those able to understand, in this way: for the thirty Aeons were revealed through the thirty years, as we have said before, in which they say the savior did nothing openly, and through the parable of the workers in the vineyard. And they say that Paul most clearly names these Aeons many times, and moreover that he has also preserved their order by saying thus, "unto all the generations of the aeons of the aeon." but also that we, when we say in the Eucharist "unto the aeons of the aeons," signify those Aeons; and wherever "aeon" or "aeons" are named, the reference 1.407 to
