I am, where is my glory? And if I am Lord, where is my fear?» For the glory of fathers is the holiness of their children, and the honor of masters is the fear of their servants, just as the opposite is dishonor and anarchy; «For because of you, he says, my name is blasphemed among the nations.» Always be thankful, as faithful and well-disposed servants, saying thus concerning the Eucharist: We thank you, our Father, for the life which you have made known to us through Jesus your Child, through whom you also made all things and provide for all, whom you also sent to become man for our salvation, whom you also permitted to suffer and to die, whom you also, having raised, were pleased to glorify and seated at your right hand, through whom you also promised us the resurrection of the dead. You, Master almighty, eternal God, just as this was scattered and, having been gathered, became one loaf, so gather your Church from the ends of the earth into your kingdom. Furthermore we thank you, our Father, for the precious blood of Jesus Christ which was shed for us, and for the precious body, of which we celebrate these antitypes, as he himself commanded us to proclaim his death. For through him is the glory to you for ever and ever; amen. Let none of the uninitiated eat of these things, but only those who have been baptized into the death of the Lord. But if any uninitiated person, having hidden himself, should partake, he will eat eternal judgment, because not being of the faith in Christ, he partook of what is not lawful, for his own punishment. But if anyone partakes through ignorance, having quickly instructed this one, initiate him, so that he may not depart as a despiser. And after the partaking, give thanks thus: We thank you, O God and Father of Jesus our Savior, for your holy name which you have made to dwell in us, and for the knowledge and faith and love and immortality which you have given to us through Jesus your Child. You, Master almighty, the God of all things, who created the world and the things in it through him, and implanted a law in our souls, and prepared beforehand for humans the things for participation, the God of our holy and blameless fathers, Abraham and Isaac and Jacob, your faithful servants, the mighty God, the faithful and true and who does not lie in his promises, who sent Jesus your Christ to earth to converse with men as a man, being God the Word and man, and the error from the root
