to take away, do You now, through him, remember this Your holy Church, which You purchased with the precious blood of Your Christ, and deliver her from all evil and perfect her in Your love and in Your truth, and gather us all together into Your kingdom, which You have prepared for her. Maranatha; Hosanna to the Son of David, blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord, God is the Lord who has appeared to us in the flesh. If anyone is holy, let him draw near; but if anyone is not, let him become so through repentance. And permit your presbyters to give thanks. And concerning the myrrh, give thanks thus: We thank You, O God, creator of all things, both for the fragrance of the myrrh and for the immortal age which You have made known to us through Jesus Your Servant, for Yours is the glory and the power forever; amen. Whoever comes and gives thanks in this manner, receive him as a disciple of Christ. But if he preaches another teaching than that which Christ delivered to you through us, do not permit such a one to give thanks; for such a one insults God rather than glorifies Him. And let everyone who comes to you, having been tested, be received thus; for you have understanding, and are able to know the right hand and the left, and to distinguish false teachers from teachers. However, to the teacher who has come, supply from your soul what is needed; but to the false teacher you will give what is needed, but you will not receive his error, nor indeed will you pray with him, so that you may not be defiled with him. Every true prophet or teacher who comes to you is worthy of his food, as a worker of the word of righteousness. Every firstfruit of the produce of the winepress, of the threshing floor, of oxen and of sheep you shall give to the priests, so that the storehouses of your treasuries and the produce of your land may be blessed, and you may be strengthened with grain and wine and oil, and the herds of your cattle and the flocks of your sheep may be increased. Every tithe you shall give to the orphan and to the widow, to the poor and to the proselyte. Every firstfruit of warm loaves, of a jar of wine or oil or honey or of fruit-trees, of the grape or of other things, you shall give the firstfruit to the priests, but of silver and clothing and every possession to the orphan and the widow. On the Lord's resurrection day, we mean the Lord's day, come together without fail, giving thanks to God and
