O Lord God, accept the prayers through the lips of your people from the nations, who call upon you in truth, just as you accepted the gifts of the righteous in their generations. You looked upon and accepted the sacrifice of Abel first, of Noah when he came out of the ark, of Abraham after he came out of the land of the Chaldeans, of Isaac at the well of the oath, of Jacob in Bethlehem, of Moses in the desert, of Aaron between the living and the dead, of Joshua the son of Nun in Gilgal, of Gideon upon the rock and the fleeces before his sin, of Manoah and his wife in the field, of Samson in his thirst before his transgression, of Jephthah in the war before the rash promise, of Barak and Deborah over Sisera, of Samuel in Mizpah; of David on the threshing floor of Ornan the Jebusite, of Solomon in Gibeon and in Jerusalem, of Elijah on Mount Carmel, of Elisha at the barren spring, of Jehoshaphat in the war, of Hezekiah in his sickness and against Sennacherib, of Manasseh in the land of the Chaldeans after his transgression, of Josiah at the Passover, of Ezra at the return; of Daniel in the den of lions, of Jonah in the belly of the great fish, of the three children in the fiery furnace, of Hannah in the tabernacle before the ark, of Nehemiah at the rebuilding of the walls and of Zerubbabel, of Mattathias and his sons in their zeal for you, of Jael in blessings. And now, therefore, accept the prayers of your people, offered to you with knowledge through Christ in the Spirit. We thank you for all things, O Lord Almighty, because you have not taken away your mercies and your compassions from us, but in every generation and generation you save, rescue, help, and protect. For you helped in the days of Enos and Enoch, in the days of Moses and Joshua, in the days of the judges, in the days of Samuel and Elijah and the prophets, in the days of David and the kings, in the days of Esther and Mordecai, in the days of Judith, in the days of Judas Maccabeus and his brothers. And in our days you have helped us through your great high priest Jesus Christ your Son; for he rescued from the sword and delivered from famine, having nourished, he healed from sickness, he protected from an evil tongue. For all things we thank you through Christ, who has also granted an articulate voice for confession and has provided a well-tuned tongue as an instrument like a plectrum, and suitable taste and appropriate touch and vision for seeing and hearing

Καὶ νῦν οὖν πρόσδεξαι τὰς τοῦ λαοῦ σου προσευχὰς μετ' ἐπιγνώσεώς σοι διὰ Χριστοῦ προσφε ρομένας ἐν τῷ Πνεύματι. Eὐχαριστοῦμέν σοι περὶ πάντων, δέσποτα παντο κράτορ, ὅτι οὐκ ἐγκατέλιπες τὰ ἐλέη σου καὶ τοὺς οἰκτιρμούς σου ἀφ' ἡμῶν, ἀλλὰ καθ' ἑκάστην γενεὰν καὶ γενεὰν σóζεις, ·ύῃ, ἀντιλαμβάνῃ, σκεπάζεις. Ἀντελάβου γὰρ ἐν ἡμέραις Ἐνὼς καὶ Ἐνώχ, ἐν ἡμέραις Μωϋσέως καὶ Ἰησοῦ, ἐν ἡμέραις τῶν κριτῶν, ἐν ἡμέραις Σαμουὴλ καὶ Ἠλία καὶ τῶν προφητῶν, ἐν ἡμέραις ∆αυὶδ καὶ τῶν βασιλέων, ἐν ἡμέραις Ἐσθὴρ καὶ Μαρδοχαίου, ἐν ἡμέραις Ἰουδίθ, ἐν ἡμέραις Ἰούδα Μακκαβαίου καὶ τῶν ἀδελφῶν αὐτοῦ. Καὶ ἐν ταῖς ἡμέραις ἡμῶν ἀντελάβου ἡμῶν διὰ τοῦ μεγάλου σου ἀρχιερέως Ἰησοῦ Χριστοῦ τοῦ Παιδός σου· καὶ ἀπὸ μαχαίρας γὰρ ἐρρύσατο καὶ ἐκ λιμοῦ ἐξείλατο διαθρέψας, ἐκ νόσου ἰάσατο, ἐκ γλώσσης πονηρᾶς ἐσκέπασεν. Περὶ πάντων σοι διὰ Χριστοῦ εὐχαριστοῦμεν, ὁ καὶ φωνὴν ἔναρθρον εἰς ἐξομολόγησιν δωρησάμενος καὶ γλῶσσαν εὐάρμοστον δίκην πλήκτρου ὡς ὄργανον ὑποθείς, καὶ γεῦσιν πρόσφορον καὶ ἁφὴν κατάλληλον καὶ ὅρασιν θέας καὶ ἀκοὴν
