incorruptible and eternal, all foreign to the things here. He made me intangible, untouchable, O wonder, and likewise invisible, united to invisible things. Thus then, having made me of such a nature, the Creator brought me into a perceptible tent, a bodily one (248) and enclosed me in it and secured me, and bringing me down into a perceptible and visible world, He again set me to live and be with those in darkness, me who had been delivered from darkness, and to be confined with them, I mean with those in the mire; or rather to teach them, and to bring to full knowledge what wounds surround them and by what bonds they are held. Having given commandments, He departed. Being left alone, therefore, in the former darkness, I mean, I was not content with what I said He had heaped upon me, with unspeakable goods, having renewed me wholly, having made me wholly immortal, having made me wholly divine and having made me a Christ. But the deprivation of Him produced a forgetfulness of all these good things which I mentioned, and I seemed to be deprived of them.
