Further we entreat you also for this city and its inhabitants, for those in sickness, for those in bitter slavery, for those in exile, for those in confiscation, for those who sail and travel, that you may be a helper to all, a succorer and protector of all. Further we beseech you for those who hate us and persecute us for your name's sake, for those who are outside and have gone astray, that you may turn them to good and soften their anger. Further we beseech you also for the catechumens of the Church and for those who are vexed by the adversary and for our brothers in penitence, that the one you may perfect in the faith, the other you may cleanse from the working of the evil one, and of the other accept their repentance, and forgive both them and us our transgressions. Further we offer to you also for the good temperature of the air and the fruitfulness of the crops, that unfailingly partaking of the good things from you we may praise you without ceasing, who gives food to all flesh. Further we beseech you also for those absent for a good reason, that, having preserved all of us in piety, you may gather us together in the kingdom of your Christ, the God of every sensible and intelligible nature, our king, unchangeable, blameless, irreproachable. For to you through him is all glory, worship, and thanksgiving; and through you and after you, to him is honor and adoration in the Holy Spirit, both now and always and for the unfailing and unending ages of ages. And let all the people say: Amen. And let the bishop say: The peace of God be with all of you. And let all the people say: And with your spirit. And let the deacon proclaim again: Again and again let us pray to God through his Christ. And let us pray for the gift which has been brought to the Lord our God, that the good God may receive it through the mediation of his Christ to his heavenly altar for a fragrant aroma.
