of the ministry and service in Christ, let us pray for the whole fullness of the Church, that the Lord may preserve and protect all. Let us pray for kings and those in authority, that matters concerning us may be peaceful, that we may lead a quiet and tranquil life in all piety and gravity. Let us remember the holy martyrs, that we may be deemed worthy to become partakers of their contest; let us pray for those who have fallen asleep in faith. Let us pray for the good temperature of the air and for the fruitfulness of the crops. Let us pray for the newly enlightened, that they may be strengthened in the faith; let us all entreat for one another. Raise us up, O God, in Your grace. Rising up again, let us commend ourselves to God through His Christ. And let the bishop say: O God the only, the renowned, great in counsel and mighty in works, the God and Father of Your holy Child Jesus our Savior, look upon us and upon this Your flock, which you have chosen through Him for the glory of Your name; and having sanctified our body and soul, make us worthy, having become clean from all defilement of flesh and spirit, to obtain the good things set before us; and judge none of us unworthy, but be our helper, protector, defender through Your Christ, through whom to You be glory, honor, praise, doxology, thanksgiving in the Holy Spirit for ever; amen. And after all have said, Amen, let the deacon say: Let us attend. And let the bishop address the people thus: The holy things for the holy. And let the people respond: One holy, one Lord, Jesus Christ, to the glory of God the Father in the Holy Spirit; blessed are You for ever; amen. Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will among men. Hosanna to the Son of David, blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord. The Lord is God and has appeared to us, hosanna in the highest. And after this let the bishop partake, then the presbyters and the deacons and the subdeacons and the readers and the singers and the ascetics, and among the women, the deaconesses and the virgins and the widows, then the children, and then all the people in order with reverence and
