55. If any cleric insults the bishop unjustly, let him be deposed. “For,” it says, “you shall not speak evil of a ruler of your people.” 56. If any cleric insults a presbyter or a deacon, let him be excommunicated. 57. If any cleric mocks the deaf, or the lame, or the blind, or one maimed in his feet, let him be excommunicated; likewise also a layman. 58. A bishop or presbyter who neglects the clergy or the people, and does not instruct them in piety, let him be excommunicated, and if he persists in his negligence, let him be deposed. 59. If any bishop or presbyter, when any of the clergy is in need, does not supply what is necessary, let him be excommunicated; and if he persists, let him be deposed, as a murderer of his brother. 60. If anyone publicizes the pseudepigraphal books of the impious in the Church as holy, to the distress of the people and the clergy, let him be deposed. 61. If an accusation is made against a believer for fornication or adultery or any other forbidden act, and he is convicted, let him not be advanced to the clergy. 62. If any cleric through human fear of a Jew or a Greek or a heretic denies, if it is the name of Christ, let him be cast out; but if it is the name of cleric, let him be deposed. And if he repents, let him be received as a layman. 63. If any bishop, or presbyter, or deacon, or anyone at all from the sacerdotal list, eats flesh with the blood of its life, or what has been torn by beasts, or what died of itself, let him be deposed, for the law has forbidden this; but if he is a layman, let him be excommunicated. 64. If any cleric is found fasting on the Lord's day, or on the Sabbath, except for the one Sabbath only, let him be deposed; but if he is a layman, let him be excommunicated. 65. If any cleric or layman enters a synagogue of Jews or heretics to pray, let him be deposed and excommunicated. 66. If any cleric in a fight strikes someone and with one blow kills him, let him be deposed for his impetuosity; but if he is a layman, let him be excommunicated. 67. If anyone, having forced an unbetrothed virgin, keeps her, let him be excommunicated. And it is not lawful for him to take another, but he must keep her whom he chose, even if she happens to be poor. 68. If any bishop, or presbyter, or deacon receives a second ordination from anyone, let both he and the one who ordained him be deposed, unless he shows that he has it from heretics
