Ἡ δὲ συνεῖσα τοῦ πράγματος καὶ τοῖς ὅλοις ἀπαγορεύ σασα ἐκώκυσέ τε ἀθρόον μέγα καὶ διωλύγιον. 15.11.20 Ἀλλὰ γὰρ πῶς παραστήσω τὴν κατασχοῦσαν τὴν οἰκου μένην ἅπασαν συμφορὰν ἢ πῶς τὰ ἐμαυτῆς ἀποκλαύ σομαι; Τήν τε βασιλικὴν κάλυπτραν ἀπέθετο καὶ τὰς ἐκείνας ἐθείρας μαχαιρίδιόν τι λαβοῦσα ἐν χρῷ διέτεμε, καὶ τὰ κοκκοβαφῆ πέδιλα τῶν ποδῶν ἀπορριψαμένη μέλανα σάνδαλα ἐδεῖτο τὰ προστυχόντα.
