Hymn HYMN OF GEORGIOS THE SINNER

Be mindful, Christ, Son of God who rules on high, of your servant, a sinner at heart, who wrote these things; and grant me release from the passions bred in the heart, which are implanted in my defiled soul; and grant me to see, O Savior Jesus, your sacred splendor; where, having appeared, I shall sing a song to the healer of souls, the healer of limbs, with the great Father and the Holy Spirit.

Μνώεο, Χριστέ, υἱὲ θεοῖο ὑψιμέδοντος, οἰκέτεω σέο κῆρ' ἀλιτροῖο γράψαντος τάδε· καί μοι ὄπασσον λῦσιν παθέων κηριτρεφέων, τά μοι ἐμφύει ψυχᾷ ῥυπαρᾷ· δὸς δὲ ἰδέσθαι, σῶτερ Ἰησοῦ, ζαθέαν αἴγλαν σάν· ἔνθα φανεὶς μέλψω ἀοιδὰν ψυχᾶν παίονι, παίονι γυίων πατρὶ σὺν μεγάλῳ πνεύματι θ' ἁγνῷ.
