Prayer of Saint John Chrysostom

O good and man-loving God, have mercy on us. O rich in mercy and good in compassion, have mercy on us. O perfect and immortal mind, have mercy on us. O sleepless and incomprehensible eye, have mercy on us. O Lord and God, begotten before the morning star, have mercy on us. O creator and founder of all things that are, Jesus Christ, have mercy on us. O you who laid down your soul and your body by the will of the Father, have mercy on us. O you who formed the well-distinguished matter and established the world, have mercy on us. O you who stretched out the heaven and adorned it with stars, have mercy on us. O you who founded the earth and adorned it with green and comely flowers, have mercy on us. O you who enclosed the abysses and walled the sea with your command, have mercy on us. O you who made four-footed animals, and reptiles, and winged birds, have mercy on us. O you who made the sea-monsters and commanded the fish, have mercy on us.
