Of Damascene. 95.233 Does the God and Father of all will as Father, or as God? But if as Father, His will will be different from the Son's will; for the Son is not the Father. But if as God, and the Son is also God and the Holy Spirit; then the will is of nature, that is, natural; and you, then, reasoning according to this, ask: Did the God of all accept the blood of the Only-Begotten as Father, or as God? But if as Father, His power and energy will be different from the Son's; for the Son is not the Father. But if as God, and the Son is also God and the Holy Spirit; then the same Holy Trinity, as God, accepted the blood of the Only-Begotten, the one of the Holy Trinity.
