[Prologue.] The apostles and the presbyters to all those from the nations who have believed in the Lord Jesus Christ: Grace to you and peace from God Almighty through our Lord Jesus Christ be multiplied in the knowledge of him. God's planting, the catholic Church, and his chosen vineyard, you who have believed in his unerring piety, you who through faith are reaping his eternal kingdom, who have received his power and the partaking of the Holy Spirit, armed through Jesus and having his fear implanted within you, partakers of the sprinkling of the precious and innocent blood of Christ, you who have received boldness to call the Almighty God Father, co-heirs and joint-partakers of his beloved Son; hear a sacred teaching, you who hold to his promise by the command of the Savior, in accordance with his glorious utterances. Be on your guard, you sons of God, to do all things in obedience to God, and be well-pleasing in all things to the Lord our God; for if anyone pursues lawlessness and does things contrary to the will of God, such a person will be counted by God as a lawless nation. Abstain therefore from all greed and injustice; for it is also written in the Law: "You shall not covet your neighbor's wife, nor his field

Θεοῦ φυτεία ἡ καθολικὴ Ἐκκλησία καὶ ἀμπελὼν αὐτοῦ ἐκλεκτός, οἱ πεπιστευκότες εἰς τὴν ἀπλανῆ θεοσέβειαν αὐτοῦ, οἱ τὴν αἰώνιον καρπούμενοι διὰ πίστεως βασιλείαν αὐτοῦ, δύναμιν αὐτοῦ εἰληφότες καὶ μετουσίαν ἁγίου Πνεύμα τος, ὡπλισμένοι διὰ Ἰησοῦ καὶ ἐνστερνισμένοι τὸν φόβον αὐτοῦ, ῥαντίσματος μέτοχοι τοῦ τιμίου καὶ ἀθώου αἵματος τοῦ Χριστοῦ, οἱ παρρησίαν εἰληφότες τὸν παντοκράτορα Θεὸν πατέρα καλεῖν, συγκληρονόμοι καὶ συμμέτοχοι τοῦ ἠγαπημένου Παιδὸς αὐτοῦ· ἀκούσατε διδασκαλίαν ἱεράν, οἱ ἀντεχόμενοι τῆς ἐπαγγελίας αὐτοῦ ἐκ προστάγματος τοῦ Σωτῆρος, ὁμοστοίχως ταῖς ἐνδόξοις φθογγαῖς αὐτοῦ. Φυλάσσεσθε, οἱ Θεοῦ υἱοί, πάντα εἰς ὑπακοὴν Θεοῦ πράσσειν, καὶ γίνεσθε εὐάρεστοι ἐν πᾶσι Κυρίῳ τῷ Θεῷ ἡμῶν· ἐὰν γάρ τις ἀνομίαν μεταδιώκῃ καὶ τὰ ἐναντία τῷ θελήματι τοῦ Θεοῦ ποιῇ, ὡς παράνομον ἔθνος τῷ Θεῷ ὁ τοιοῦτος λογισθήσεται. Ἀπέχεσθε οὖν πάσης πλεο νεξίας καὶ ἀδικίας· καὶ γὰρ ἐν τῷ Νόμῳ γέγραπται· «Oὐκ ἐπιθυμήσεις τὴν γυναῖκα τοῦ πλησίον σου οὐδὲ τὸν ἀγρὸν
