OBADIAH, IV.
He announces a vision against Idumea, and of its end; and against the
nations who acted insolently toward Israel. For he signifies that the house of Esau will be consumed by Jacob.
JONAH, V.
The word of the Lord came to him to go to Nineveh and preach in it,
that in three more days Nineveh will be overthrown. But Jonah, fleeing the proclamation, went up into the ship. And when a storm arose he was cast out, and was swallowed by a sea monster. Then after three days the sea monster cast out Jonah alive. And again a second time the word of the Lord came to him. And having gone, he preached to Nineveh, and they, having heard, repented, and the Lord turned away his wrath from them. Indeed, he himself became a sign of the coming of the Savior, both being swallowed by the sea monster, and being cast out unharmed.
NAHUM THE ELKOSHITE, VII.
An oracle concerning the destruction of Nineveh, a book of vision. He prophesies and preaches
indeed also about a feast. And in it he signifies concerning the Savior, and proclaims all the remaining things against Nineveh, and of its end, and of the enemies of Israel.
HABAKKUK, VIII.
He too saw an oracle; he prophesies, praying indeed concerning the capture of
Jerusalem. Signifying also concerning the coming of the Savior. And he speaks and prophesies against the scorners. Then in the midst is a prayer of the prophet with a song. And there are three diapsalmata in the so-called song as he sings about the coming of the Savior, and of the victory over death.
ZEPHANIAH THE SON OF CUSHI, IX.
This one and Jeremiah were contemporaries of one another. For both in the time of Josiah
king of Judah prophesied. And the word of the Lord came to him, and he prophesies in Jerusalem, and in all Judah; and he foretells concerning a great day to come, so that all the idols and the groves are destroyed, and much wailing and lamentation occurs. And he prophesies also concerning the Savior, and of the resurrection, which he accomplishes for us. And against Gaza and Ashkelon, and Ashdod, and Ekron, and against Moab, and Ammon, and against Damascus, and against Nineveh, and against the Ethiopians.

Λόγος Κυρίου ἐγένετο πρὸς αὐτὸν ἀπελθεῖν εἰς Νινευὴ καὶ κηρῦξαι ἐν αὐτῇ,
ὅτι ἔτι τρεῖς ἡμέραι καὶ καταστραφήσεται ἡ Νινευή. Ἀλλ' Ἰωνᾶς φεύγων τὸ κήρυγμα, ἀνέβη εἰς τὸ πλοῖον. Χειμῶνός τε γενομένου ἐξεβλήθη, καὶ κατεπόθη ὑπὸ κήτου θαλασσίου. Εἶτα μετὰ τρεῖς ἡμέρας ἐξέβαλε τὸ κῆτος τὸν Ἰωνὰν ζῶντα. Καὶ πάλιν ἐκ δευτέρας λόγος Κυρίου ἐγένετο πρὸς αὐτόν. Καὶ ἀπελθὼν ἐκήρυξεν εἰς τὴν Νινευὴ, ἐκεῖνοί τε ἀκούσαντες ἐμετανόησαν, καὶ παρήγαγε Κύριος τὴν ὀργὴν ἀπ' αὐτῶν. μὲν καὶ περὶ ἑορτῆς. Προσημαίνει δὲ ἐν αὐτῇ περὶ τοῦ Σωτῆρος, καὶ τὰ λοιπὰ πάντα κατὰ τῆς Νινευῆ, καὶ τοῦ τέλους αὐτῆς, καὶ τῶν ἐχθρῶν τοῦ Ἰσραὴλ παραγγέλλει.
ΑΜΒΑΧΟΥΜ, Ηʹ.
Λῆμμα καὶ αὐτὸς εἶδεν· προφητεύει δεόμενος μὲν περὶ τῆς ἁλώσεως τῆς
Ἱερουσαλήμ. Προσημαίνων δὲ περὶ τῆς παρουσίας τοῦ Σωτῆρος. Λέγει δὲ καὶ προφητεύει κατὰ τῶν καταφρονητῶν. Εἶτα μεταξὺ προσευχή ἐστι τοῦ προφήτου μετ' ᾠδῆς. Καὶ τρία διαψάλματά ἐστιν ἐν τῇ λεγομένῃ ᾠδῇ ᾄδοντος αὐτοῦ περὶ τῆς παρουσίας τοῦ Σωτῆρος, καὶ τῆς κατὰ θανάτου νίκης.
ΣΟΦΟΝΙΑΣ Ο ΤΟΥ ΧΟΥΣΕΙ, Θʹ.
Οὗτος καὶ Ἱερεμίας συνεχρόνησαν ἀλλήλοις. Ἀμφότεροι γὰρ ἐπὶ τοῦ Ἰωσία
βασιλέως Ἰούδα ἐπροφήτευσαν. Λόγος δὲ Κυρίου ἐγένετο πρὸς αὐτὸν, καὶ προφητεύει ἐν τῇ Ἱερουσαλὴμ, καὶ παντὶ Ἰούδᾳ· καὶ προλέγει περὶ ἡμέρας ἐσομένης μεγάλης, ὥστε ἐξαρθῆναι πάντα τὰ εἴδωλα, καὶ τὰ ἄλση, καὶ πολὺν θρῆνον καὶ κοπετὸν γίγνεσθαι. Προφητεύει δὲ καὶ περὶ τοῦ Σωτῆρος, καὶ τῆς ἀναστάσεως, ἣν δι' ἡμᾶς ποιεῖ.
