images; they did not understand the treasure hidden in the field, that is, the divinity hidden in the flesh, and lodging in the heavens with the Father; they did not understand the things that happened concerning Lazarus; they did not understand the stone rolled away from the tomb, that it spoke of the foolish heart of men being moved away; they did not understand the tomb itself, and Lazarus lying within for four days, of what it was a type, that in the image of a body the tomb was containing within the mind that had died and been put to death. For truly our body was a tomb before the coming of Christ, as it says in 60.766 in the Gospel: Whitewashed tombs. Truly we were tombs filled with dead sins, having within the mind put to death by pleasures, the one four days dead and already stinking, the mind composed of four general virtues: prudence, justice, courage, temperance. Likewise the body is also composed of four elements: hot, cold, wet, and dry. They did not know, nor did they understand; for not having received Christ the light, they walk in darkness. For the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. Let all the foundations of the earth be shaken; not of that which is trodden upon, but concerning which he says, for you are earth, and to earth you shall return. For the foundation of the body is the soul; which having departed, just as a foundation having given way, the house of our tabernacle collapses. Let all the foundations of the earth be shaken, that is, let the souls be moved and transferred from idolatry to the knowledge of God. Then, Arise, O God, he says, judge the earth. Arise, O crucified one, arise, O you who bound our sins in the image of thorns upon your own head, Arise, O God, judge the earth. He said the earth, not the heaven.

Do not be afraid, beloved. If you have been born again of water and the Spirit, you are heaven; For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. As is the man of dust, so also are those who are of the dust; and as is the man of heaven, so also are those who are of heaven. Arise O God, judge the earth, for you shall inherit among all the nations. You are the Christ, to whom the Father has given authority over all things, authority to judge all. For the Father judges no one; for he has given all judgment to the Son, that they may honor the Son just as they honor the Father. You shall inherit among all the nations. For to you the Father said: Ask of me, and I will give you the nations for your inheritance, and the ends of the earth for your possession. Therefore let us give glory to God in Christ Jesus our Lord, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.
