For he who drinks from this cup is sober indeed in Christ, but seems to the foolish to be drunk, thinking the thoughts of the Savior. This cup the Lord Christ mixed for us from his blood, and he called many guests for us, and he gathered countless evangelical fish, and filled the net of Peter, and the objects of contemplation became his in a wondrous way, and the storm made his fishing more brilliant; and those whom he did not catch by persuading, these he caught alive when they were afraid, a lightning bolt assisting him in the catch.

But let no one call this an insult to the new flock, if they were hunted by lightning; for Christ is accustomed to bridle kicking colts with lightning. And whoever knows the calling of the blessed Paul, rejoices having been called with Paul, and having seen the Lord Christ through a lightning flash, becomes a disciple of Christ. To him be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
