the Lord.” But He, according to the paternal dignity, said to the leper, “I will; be clean.” To the dead, “Young man, I say to you, arise;” and, “Lazarus, come forth.” He rebukes the sea, and the winds with authority, saying, “Peace, be still.” But what of, “A prophet like you?” Comparing the things of Moses with those of Christ we will find at our leisure, and also that which was said by Moses in the law, that it is not possible to add to them, nor is it possible to take away from them. Then also by saying, “You shall listen to him in all things, whatever he says to you,” he signifies the pre-eminence of the one prophesied. Isaiah, “Behold our God; behold the Lord comes with strength, and his arm with dominion.” David, “The Lord swore to David a truth, and he will not turn from it: From the fruit of your womb I will set upon your throne.” And again, “I have made a covenant with my chosen ones.
