Ἀμόλυντον τὸ σκεῦος, ἄσπιλον τὸ κειμήλιον, ἀθόλωτος ὁ ἀλάβαστρος, ἄσπορος ὁ τόκος, ἀνύμφευτος ἡ κόρη, 60.760 ἀθαλάμευτος ἡ παρθένος, ἀλατόμητος ἡ πέτρα, κεκλεισμένος ὁ κῆπος, ἡ πηγὴ ἐσφραγισμένη, ἄσπορος ἡ χώρα, ἀφύτευτον τὸ κλῆμα, ἀνεπινόητος ὁ τόκος. Εἰ δὲ ἀπιστεῖς μοι τῷ λέγοντι, τὸν καιρὸν τῆς κυήσεως ἔκδεξαι. Καὶ ἐὰν δακρύσῃ ἢ στενάξῃ ἡ Μαρία, ὡς αἱ λοιπαὶ γυναῖκες, ἄνθρωπός ἐστι, καὶ οὐ Θεὸς, ὁ ἐκ Μαρίας γεννώμενος. Καὶ ὁ Ἰωσὴφ εἶπεν· Εἰ ταῦτα οὕτως ἔχει, καθὼς προέφης, ὦ ἀρχάγγελε, Ἵνα τί ἐφρύαξαν ἔθνη, καὶ λαοὶ ἐμελέτησαν κενά; Καὶ ὁ ἄγγελος εἶπεν· Εἰ θέλεις μαθεῖν, τὸ τάχος διδάχθητι· ἐπειδὴ Κύριος εἶπε πρὸς τὸν γεννώμενον, Υἱός μου εἶ σὺ, ἐγὼ σήμερον γεγέννηκά σε· ὅτι αὐτῷ πρέπει δόξα εἰς τοὺς αἰῶνας τῶν αἰώνων.
